What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed jba uca's, napa cv's, and 5100's with ome 888's. In intermittent rain....
Bought toyota boot replacement Kits, kept chipping my brass drifts trying to get the tripod off so I got frustrated and called napa haha

 

None at all. It's secured from inside using the existing mounting holes for the console. Once it's locked, there is no access to the mounting bolts.

Looks good! Did you do the headlight retrofit yourself? Apollo 3 shrouds and flat black paint?

Took it camping for the weekend.

 

Tested out my wiring skills and wired up a led in the center console.



Center console and puddle lights are next.

 

It ended up costing me $269. Much cheaper than replacing my Sig and it keeps a stolen firearm off the street.

 

Nice! Those dins are a pain in the ass for '12 and up. I saw that this guy tried this, looked pretty solid.

Did you resuse the mounting brackets? Its been two years and the still sits solid.

Thanks, the 3M kit includes a sealant you apply as the final step. Will see how/if that makes it last.

I did. However AFTER I did all the modifications to it (poorly) I read and realized you can remove the whole bezel, vents and all and mount the whole thing on the bench. That is a 1,000% easier method.

Works as advertised. I went with the cheapest one. It was like $89 shipped. I also have the Auxbeam one in my 3rd gen and it appears to be the same, just without the logo on it.

 

Wouldn't opening the hood save you time in masking all the way around the headlight?
