Updated the front end swapped the lower ball joints awhile back and decided to ditch my old Sway-A-Ways. Went with Toytec's, Icon deltas and DuroBumps. I can't wait to hit the service roads on the way to work Monday it feels a ton better already... Next brakes, rear suspension, valve cover gaskets and timing belt in some order lol... Love these old trucksPXL-20210312-222005304_008ec1a330389b57b2cb9d8b59af62fc17b77e59.jpg

I just went with the same Spec Ride poly bushings that these came with when I got them in 2016, their newest bushings are the X Axis ones I think they're called.

That sounds right. I just installed there latest bj design. I don't think the axis bushings would be worth the cost and mine don't squeak to begin with.

Yeah the new design ones are pretty expensive, and tbh I'm not sure if they work with the older arm design like mine. But either way I got 5 years out of the Spec Ride ones originally and the first few years were a lot of offroad miles, virtually every weekend. They held up well

When this set wears out in a few years I'll likely just upgrade the arms entirely to the newer ones.

That's what I was thinking as well, and even better place for rust to hide. But also a decrease in strength? The sides add most, but I'd imagine taking the top off would decrease a bit at least, not sure how much though.

looks like 1/4'' plate at least. Im sure strength wise they are fine.

But yeah, collection spot for sure! Depending on how you mounted them though the power washer would get to it pretty easily I think.

My truck must be different,if you look close at the passenger side fender, you can see that i already did some bashin on it. Even after all that work!!!

Yeah that is quite interesting to me, where is it hitting on the fender wall for u rn? Back by the pinch weld? I like ur bumper trimming btw, how'd u achieve that? I want to contour my bumper trimming with the fender when that time comes :sawzall:

Good eye. You guys basically went through my thought process after @nagorb pointed it out. I haven't seen the old style in person but square tubes do seem to make more sense..

I don't think it'll be an issue given it's typically in a garage, I use a pressure washer, and live in California. I definitely expect them to get filled with dirt/mud though.

Anyone tap a zerk fitting into their LCA? I installed some whiteline bushing and I apparently didn’t put enough grease cause now two weeks later it’s squeaking hard. Really don’t want to pull it all off again.
