    Happy wife, happy life.

It's interesting by my Highlander and Tacoma both had the same engine. Little things like the engine cover, thick dense foam on the Highlander to quiet the noise. Remove it and I could hear the high-pressure injector pump.

    Just don't take it off-road.

She is not, but a lot of folks think we are siblings. My use of "Baby Sister" is my tip of the hat to the Duke (RIP :amen: ) and the fact that IF I had a sister, I'd hope she'd be as  as Weesa . I don't want to drag her into this. I and TW do NOT need the drama, we got plenty too much already. :(

Dechained and aired back up. Heading home for quick unpack, might just only do the guns today and leave the rest for tomorrow. Back to work tonight.

Last year we looked at the Highlander &4runner. We ended up with a 020 runner. It's a SR5 nothing fancy but the more I use it the more I like it . Highway speed is like setting on the couch. Sweet suv.
Out of our 3 rides our 20 year old club car is my favorite for down to the store or just a slow ride at sundown.IMG_20210220_080159_4~5.jpg

Good morning, everyone! The time change seemed to fool the dogs - or they decided to give me a break today. I'm late!

Rob - I'm pretty sure they are still making manual transmission Tacomas for 2021. Seem to remember seeing people posting their arrival.

Hopefully, I'm not the Mark you were talking about extending the porch. My woodworking skills are pretty basic...but I can find a contractor. :D

Definitely seeing signs of Spring here although we'll undoubtedly see more snow yet - maybe next week. Robins are back which means it's just a matter of time.

I think I'll work on cleaning out the stable center area - plan on keeping the trailer there so it's out of the elements and not an easy theft target.

    Stay safe out there!!

I've had the same problem with tire shipments.. bulky, heavy, not in a box, like a normal delivery? IDK, I don't buy them online anymore, Seems easily shipped.. roll it, stack it, not fragile. I can't fix it.:notsure:

I have had two delivery problems with Amazon this week. Last Saturday I ordered an LED light bulb for a fixture in the laundry room. Actually two bulbs from the same manufacture. I paid for quick shipping. One bulb came on Sunday and the other bulb was marked lost in the Elkridge warehouse. I had to wait to this Thursday to order the replacement. Both the lost bulb and the replacement arrived on Friday. I will ship the other bulb back on Monday. My son ordered a pair of work gloves and te next day it was marked undeliverable during shipping, WTF.

Kurt: I like what you did with the river rock. This past summer I had some blue river rock I used as a stream, in the garden, flowing down to our small pond. As part of the "Making our yard more low maintenance" we moved the rock to a small area in front of the small combination trash can/firewood shed. I actually like the rock in the new area.

Two days ago my Navy Federal checking account notified me that our stimulus checks will be deposited on the 17th. That was pretty quick. Wife wants to do something fun with the checks. I want to use mine on a pellet grill. I already know who will win this battle. LOL

    Morning all:

That's the first time I've seen chains on a private vehicle in years Rob, I have several sets here but don't even know what they fit, think the one set was for my mothers 47 Plymouth, and another pair may be for the 66 which didn't go for crap in snow! o_O
Hey, I might find a use for them one day!

I was thinking of getting two sets of chains while passing through Colorado, but never need that in Texas. Yes, with our crazy week and lots of solid ice two sets of chains means I would have been mobile. Challenge was a lack of power, so many gas stations were closed.

Maybe I should have gotten a duece and half? My ex was an OR Nurse in Germany, 97th General. Every medical personal had to know how to drive one and use an M16. Her DD214 had marksmen listed. Good thing I didn't piss her off.

1986 Germany: Nurses got the dreaded "guard duty" once a month. So she and Vivian had to guard the back entrance of the Hospital. Everyone was to use the front. One day they had three contractors start walking through the backlot, and were told to stop. They replied in German "we don't understand you". Vivian responded in perfect German "I think you do, I said stop!" The lead guy told his friends "Army Nurses, they carry empty weapons" and started to proceed, suddenly you heard a clip being inserted and racked. Very distinct sound. She said, "we are nurses, we fill you will lead but then will be nice enough to remove them from your body". They gulped and decided it was not the day to push the issue. Red Army Faction was active at the time, Vivian always pocketed two full clips from the shooting range and carried them while on duty.

The moral: don't mess with nurses pissed off to be on guard duty!

I used them for the first time last year going into my friends cabin. They add another level of advantage. I probably could have made it out without them, but as I was coming out solo and due to the winds I listened to all night, I wanted to give Stitch every advantage busting the drifts of fresh fallen snow.

    Good morning all,

Chains, we have to have them for our vehicles here - you don't want to get caught on a state highway or the interstate without them. Big ticket and they make you stop where you are. I-70 closed for a while yesterday (not sure it is open yet) and the chain law went up earlier in the day. I used my set on my 2020 Taco hunting last November in getting out of our camp site - put them on the front as we had a lot of weight in the back, wanted to keep it on the shelf road and not down the shelf. Rob, I totally agree that times you just have to help the odds to be in your favor and using chains in the mountains is a huge advantage tool.

We finally started to get snow - woke to a foot, had to clear a spot for Agnes to poop, both dogs just wanted to run and dive and roll, took forever to get them to settle down and do their business. Going to snow all day so first round of plowing in about an hour.

Almost forgot with all this winter storm preparations the last few days. Got my second vaccine shot and no side affects - NONE even less arm soreness at the injection site this time.

Have a great and safe day everyone

That's expensive coffee - do you take it straight? Do you like it, I have heard mixed reviews and I am a coffee addict, not a connoisseur just love the stuff (black no additives).
