You have piston compressors at your work? Is there much air demand? From the size of the equipment in your pictures I was expecting giant compressors as well.

At my old job production used air tools all day, I had two 50 hp rotary compressors, 235 CFM each. Occasionally the demand could exceed the supply, I would have the workers closest to the compressor room stop briefly to catch the system up.

No, that wasn't my heep...I have stacked a couple of 4x4 blocks, not Jack's in that fashion. Reminds me of internet picture, sure some have seen the guy working under his rig propped up by a large timber or something.

Not this far East, I did just see news said interstate 80 is closed far West and they said will remain closed for some time. It must really be coming down out there.

Years ago I saw a guy working under a 1971-72 Chevy Caprice -- supported by four bumper jacks  I'm confident the dude has by now met his maker...

Edit: Occurs to me, some folks here may have never seen/used a bumper jack -- I feel old... :pout:

I remember them. My parents had a 1970 Cadillac had one and a hook contoured to the bumper. First car I purchased was a 1974 Camaro and it had a bumper jack but it had small notches in the bumpers at 4 corners.

Wait, wouldn’t hooking a jack to holes in the bumper just rip the plastic bumper cover???!?!! o_O
    (Just joking, by the way)

From 74-78 maybe? Those bumpers were actually aluminum! But yeah the years just before they went to plastic. Endura bumper or something I think GM term.

That just sounds like Natural Selection at work to me.

And I know exactly what a bumper jack is.

1968 Pontiac GTO was the first Endura bumper car.

I remember when you could buy cars like that - GTO, Mustang, Camaro, etc. for $500 running and driving -- of course I didn't have the $$$ back then. How times have changed -- I finally saved up the $500 and all the deals are gone...
