    Hey all!

just wanted to let you know I completed an audio upgrade on the front. Here is everything you need.

Screws: I used some wood screws from Lowe’s. Take the speaker adapter plate in and find the size you want.

    JBL club 9632 speakers:
    https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Club-9632-Three-way-speaker/dp/B085ZTR7G1

    Metra Toyota speaker adapter plates:
    https://www.amazon.com/Metra-82-814...t=&hvlocphy=9012325&hvtargid=pla-450218402125

    Adapter wiring cables:
    https://www.amazon.com/RedWolf-Spea...a+speaker+adapter&qid=1615255360&sr=8-1-spons

That’s it! It’s a 30 minute job on both sides. YouTube has tutorials to follow that are perfect. I am very pleased with the new audio performance!

Rear speakers are on their way. Will update once those are in.

Part of my spring project, one of many projects :D. For our system upgrade I bought everything Focal, I'm a bit (maybe a lot old school ). I come from the times of Mb Quart Q series (when Mb Quart was king and were Made in Germany...funny thing is I still have a brand new set, never installed Q separates:)), powered by Nakamichi head and amplifiers of old, Rockford Fosgate, Phoenix Gold wires , a/d/s/ subwofer...those were the days...Today Pioneer upper head units is still king and in my opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone...Focal is about it. Amplifiers JL Audio...

Also just wanna point out if you order from crutchfield, I've found they also include the needed adapters for the vehicle. Both speaker adapters and wiring adapters.

Nice! Are you using OEM radio? Hows it sound? Are those round or 6 x 9?

They are 6x9, millions of times better than stock lol. I will be picking up brackets on Monday for the rear. Those are infinity speakers.

Glad to hear that you like your upgrade. I did the oft-mentioned kicker and tweeter upgrade and added an amp---couldn't be happier. Also second on Crutchfield, they are great.

I recommend changing your tweeters too (in the front pillar on driver and passenger sides). Amazing what difference changing those little speakers makes

How are the brackets used? Did you get the Infinity Reference series for back?

Those front speakers have a mediocre spec for the RMS Watt. Your head unit will come nowhere close to pushing that capacity of the speaker, so you have some room for using additional speaker capacity if you ever want to install an amplifier to better use the speakers. I like the setup so far, aside from the fact no amplifier or sub is being used. Step at a time. Not saying your install is junk, but saying you have some room for expansion as you build.

I recently did this but with some infinity 6x9s. I also did the kicker tweeters and added sound deadening to the doors.... for me it was better sure but not the night and day difference I'd hoped for.... I don't think the stock stereo is enough to drive the new infinity speakers and it lacks the low end and mid low end in my case....glad it worked out for you.....ifanyone has a suggestion on a new head unit I am all ears ....

I’m not well versed in audio technologies ‍♂️

I just wanted better sound than stock and I am VERY happy with the Infinity rear speakers in now too.
