I did oil change and tire rotation for my '17 TRD OR yesterday and forgot to take the lock key off. It must have been lost during my driving. Does dealership have the record of what set of lock on my truck? I'm thinking to go to parts department and give them the VIN to order the same set of wheel nuts and key if possible.

If you paid for them as part of your initial purchase that should be in the paperwork you received from the dealer.

If it was a toyota wheel lock the dealer can take them off. I had this happen on an IS250 - i went to the dealer, had them remove the locks and put normal lugs back on

Perfect time to get rid of those stupid things, thieves can zip em off in seconds. They seem to only inconvenience the owner.

Thank you guys. I checked my original purchase paperwork but didn't find anywhere mentioning the wheel key. They came in stock.

I could go to service department and asked them to take it off but they probably will charge me $$ just for taking them off. A new set only cost $35. If I can get a new set with the same key that will save me a lot of time.

Looks like you’re in Wash. DC? If near Seattle, you could try my key.

Thank your! Yes I'm in Northern Virginia/Greater DC area. I used to have a neighbor with the same model but I've moved out that neighborhood.

With all of the people here taking their's off... why don't you see if someone will give your their's rather than buy? I would, but someone on the east coast might be close enough to buy them lunch.

Good suggestion. I assume there will be several different key sets so first thing is that one can take my lug nuts off ...

Visit a dealer and most parts departments will help you remove it. We have all the replacements and master sets at my shop.

Is there a place to order the master/universal key? I searched Amazon but couldn't find one.

You need the original code from the install kit, but the dealer literally stocks them.

Did the same thing when I rotated the tires on my wife's cx-5 a couple years ago! I went to the Mazda dealer and talked to the service manager, he gave me their master key socket and I went out to the parking lot and pulled off the keyed lugs, no charge.
Wouldn't hurt to ask your dealer?

Most dealers have a master set in parts, the dodge dealer I worked at had several sets for different makes as it was a multi brand dealer separate sales offices . if matched they will sell you a replacement.

These type of sockets will usually take off any keyed lugnut. (It’s what some thief’s use)

Have you checked under your rear seat? That’s where I found the paperwork for mine, (with the key code). Other place to check would be in the owners manual, some dealers place the paperwork their.
