Hey y’all I’m looking at getting a lift kit installed soonish. I want to level the truck out and get rid of most of the rake. I don’t want the front end to look like I’m getting ready for flight though. On a new 2021 truck what seems to be optimal number of inches front and back to level out the truck without the front end looking higher than the back? Pics would be greatly appreciated. Peace.

Awesome! So 2.5 in the front and 0 in the back? Cool, 2021 trd off road in Metallic gray. What color do you have?

I will measure it after the front is done. I want it as level as possible. Then go with a block lift

No, you’ll want about +1” in the front if you just want to level.

Edit : @SuperWhiteTRD will likely have something in the rear to keep up with the front. (Leaf pack, AAL, block, etc..)

1 inch of lift in the front will level out a stock 3rd gen

why do u want it level though? When you put weight in the bed it will look squatted, i think rake looks good personally

Measure its stance as you currently have it outfitted.

Decide on your coil overs and leaf system. Confirm with research how much sag each adopts over their useful life.

Adjust on install. I ended up keeping more rake afterall.

It depends on how you do the level. If you're using a spacer on top of the strut everything I've read says no more than 2" or you'll create more problems. Any more than 2" and you really need to do a full lift. And a lot of guys strongly discourage the spacers anyway. But as long as you don't go too much I think you'll be OK unless you're into hard core rock crawling.

My Tacoma is stock, but I did a 2" level on my F150 with a spacer on the front. I wanted to maintain some rake, I often tow or haul some weight and don't like nose up which you get with any load on a leveled truck. My Ford came with a 1.5" spacer between the axle and springs. I replaced it with a 3" spacer for 1.5" total lift on the rear. I ordered the parts for under $200. I had friend with a shop and better tools, jacks etc. help me with the front. I did the rear myself in the driveway. I have less than $200 in it and like it for what I do.

I’m not doing any serious off road adventures. I have had spacers before and never had an issue. My buddy has 3” spacers in the front and it’s not been a issue and it has almost 100000 miles on the Tacoma. No dif drop or anything.

I’m specifically looking at a lift, Ill be driving in snow and mud while winter hunting, and through some marsh for ducks. The additional clearance will be nice. My concern for the proportions is more ascetic. I don’t want the nose of the truck to lift up too much, and I’m not sure what the numbers look like when applied. I would be happy with a small amount of rake. But I’m curious to see the outcome of different a lift/levels and what increments the front and rear were lifted.

I live in Florida so it’s basically opposite of what you are gonna experience. I will post the outcome when it’s completed.

I was almost 2 inches lower in the front before I had my "level" installed. I had the Fox 2.0 Performance Coilover Shocks installed in the front and the rear. 1.5 inches of lift in the front and I have about .5 inches of rake still. Im not sure why I had so much rake but im glad its gone

Also, I don't know how this happened, but my rear is almost half an inch higher after the lift. All I had installed in the rear was the fox 2.0 performance shocks. I had it installed a couple days ago so its probably gonna settle down I hope

Looks good, love the bronze wheels on white. I was 50/50 going to got that option but my business name has “Gray” in it. So I figured might as well get a gray truck.

If you don’t care about adding height just carry some weight. I have the oem tonneau and bed mat and mine sits pretty level i think

I like the stance of your ride. What is your front and rear setup? Which Kit did you go with? Tire size?

where are you guys finding tapered 1.5" lift blocks? I did a level kit 2" front, 1" rear. it is level but, when I add a dirt bike or two, I get the bro lean, and would like to gain some rake back. google shows some tapered blocks but, when you start researching, there are conflicting results, answers.
