Have you used any leather conditioning products on the seats before? What works best for these seats?

    NICE!!
    Excellent info Dawg!

Fortunately I’m lowering the truck so I’m only going down.

How hard can I torque on the Allen bolt on the collar without breaking something?
    This is my concern..

wasn’t being sarcastic and sorry if it came off that way. Was just thinking you could put paper towels (or something similar) in the opening, scrap it, vacuum it off the paper towel and then pull the paper towel out.

    just an idea.

There's been junk already falling into the head, wouldn't be worried about more. That needs a professional resurfacing.

The allen bolt on the shock collar? I just give it a little extra turn after it's snug, don't want to over tighten and strip it

To break it loose? Pretty hard. Should be grade 10 bolt and likely is seized up in the aluminum. Best option is a nice impact and the right Allen head.

To tighten don't over tighten. But a nice 1/8 turn once it's tight is good.

BTW I literally just did this tonight. And I cranked mine up a turn and a half with surprising ease using the technique described previously. I don't think you have to be even that string for it to work.

What? Why wouldn’t cleaning it up with a plastic blade work?

Yeah, that’s what I plan on doing for everything else. But getting that old stuff out without it falling in might be difficult. That’s what I was really referring to. Wasn’t very clear.

Because it looks pitted and might not hold a seal.

Well hopefully not. I’ll have to see what it looks like after getting all the old gasket material off.

so I went out and greased the uppers and then drove to a buddies house. It’s definitely not the uppers. However, I’m not convinced it’s the lowers. I had him bounce on the bumper while I laid under...I’m leaning toward the lower shock bearing. But geez I think I have like 2k on my ADS coilovers

I’m pretty set on doing this still.

Hit them with some PTFE dry lubricant spray. Mine squeaked too and that got them to quiet down. Once they started clunking at stop/starts I knew it was time to change them out.

Yup hit them with PTFE! At first it didn’t do anything. But when I drove home it was gone! Thank goodness!

Ya ya...I’ve seen plenty people give others shit about it. I wasn’t complaining. Just asked about adding zerk fittings on the LCA

According to the installation video the way I have it is "correct" but nah it shouldn't really matter

Sounds like I'll be buying the switch here shortly. Thanks

Got a good start on my bumper. Got a couple pieces to finish fitting up, some clean up, and maybe re-cut and fit some pieces, and then get at welding. I’ll be filling in the holes with the SS mesh, for airflow, and for blocking of sticks, stones, bugs, etc, plus, I’m not fond of the unfinished look of leaving it open. Then take it and powder coat it.
