Got inspired by seeing my friend's MOLLE panel in his 4Runner in the back window, had searched and found that some people had center console MOLLE panels from elsewhere and thought, dang I could use one under my armrest to help organize a little!

I dabble in 3D modeling using SketchUp and decided I could make something that fits perfect in there to hold my flashlight, knife, and maybe a small pouch. Couple days after work of playing around with ideas, an additional week of scrapping the idea and starting over, a few cocktails and voila... version 3.5 was ready for printing.
    SketchupScreenshot.jpg

I held the panel up to the bottom of my armrest and took a super small drill bit through the holes to get them predrilled slightly.
    Pre Drilled.jpg

I printed this using PETG which is supposed to be stronger, more flexible, and lighter than normal PLA that is used for most 3D printing. Once I got the design finalized and finally printed the dang thing out I screwed in some 6-32x3/4" screws to have them ready to go.
    Screwed.jpg

Here's a backside view to see the built-in spacers I designed to give myself some space in order to be able to weave through the slots.
    Bottom.jpg

Then I just lined it back up, screwed the thing in, and boom, MOLLE panel under my armrest. I debated spraying it black to make it hidden, but the TRD 4X4 decal on the side and the cupholder/cubby liners/mats I bought on Amazon are all this bright almost neon red, and this matched nearly perfectly so I decided to leave it as is. Hope this inspires someone else to do the same!

How well does PETG tolerate heat? Living in the SE region, it can get pretty toasty in my truck during the summer.

    Looks great by the way!

Thanks to all of you guys for the kudos! Glad it was received well. Here's a pic with a small pouch and a knife holder/sheath/whatever (yes it's mounted upside down intentionally, knife slides right out into my hand when I open it that way!) I wanted to have the knife pouch and flashlight pouch mounted horizontally to fit both, however the flashlight is JUST too big, so for now it's sitting there underneath. But overall SUPER stoked on how it worked out.
    IMG_7525.jpg
Still some kinks to work out, I want to make each square taller, straps had to be folded somewhat to fit in sideways (in my pic you'll see I ended up mounting two things vertically) and I'll therefore have to redistribute the spacing of each cut out. The spacers I have behind it were the perfect height to be able to weave the straps behind it while getting as close as possible so as not to waste space.

After a redesign and refitting I'll see how it turns out and then can make some for you gents!

Yea like I said I wasn't sure at first and was going to spray it black, but after putting it in for a test fit first found that I really liked it!

To be honest I'm not 100% certain as I'm in SoCal and it's the first thing I've printed in PETG. When looking it up though before purchasing I found that it's supposed to be better than PLA in tensile strength, water/heat/chemical resistance and UV resistance, as well as being less susceptible to scuffing/abrasion. I know when printing with PETG the print bed is at roughly 90C or 194F and it won't melt so that's the best guidline I could tell you, I imagine it should retain form and function with whatever natural temperature can be thrown at it...?

Alright, did some redesigning and finally got around to printing it. Fits straps better and just slightly larger! Made the screw holes larger as well to fit the machine screws just that much smoother. Super excited to have it finalized!
I'll message each of you guys to get some addresses and start shipping
