My wife and I are very cautious about what we believe from people that make money from their advice. I don't take any prescription meds and am doing my best to keep it that way. :drevil:?

Amen to that. And I do!

Good morning, all. It's the start of another of those work week thingies for the younger crowd. And, that means the hardware stores will be less crowded. Yes!!!

Last week we had a few warm days to entice us...and back came the sub freezing temps. Higs mostly in the 40s this week for us and then 50s next week. I'm ready to open the pool!!

    Be safe out there!!

    Morning all!

Yesterday I removed the plow from the quad and stored it in the shed. The quad lives in the garage.
Also put away the snow shovels in the shed. 1 of them is going in the garbage...cheap plastic!!
Now I'm down to 2. I'll have replace it.

Why 3 you ask...well 1 on the deck by the back door, 1 at the bottom of the stairs on the deck and 1 by the garage door.

Also siphoned the gas out of the snow blower then ran it dry...I'll change the oil next fall.

Off to Cabela's in Hamburg today...my friend want's to go so I'll go. I'm not really impressed with them any more since Bass Pro bought them out.

    Have a good day!!!

She gets that demonstration about 4 times a week. She also gets to demo breakfast on the outdoor griddle a few time a week too. ;)

I have a subscription with the BRCC. I get 4 cartons of K-Cups every month. 2 are Hazelnut for the wife. Not a bad coffee and I like that it is Veteran owned. I also do a French press and run a stove top percolator a few times a week. I have an insulated pitcher for use when I use the FP or Perccolator.

I thought I was the only one that drained gas when putting small engine machines into storage. I am not a fan of Stabil. Once the carb runs dry I squirt some WD40 into the cylinder and rotate it a few times to coat the cylinder wall and leave the gas tank cap off for about a week to let the tank dry out. I very rarely have a problem starting up the tool when I need to use it.

I agree on Cabelas since the Bass Pro takeover. I'll still go there for the stuff I need; I used to go there for fun and impulse buying the stuff I didn't really need. My grandkids, neice, and nephews always loved those trips.

    Good morning all,

Well we ended up with 26" of the white stuff, now I have to figure out what to do with it. The neighborhood may not get plowed until tomorrow according to the county website. A little north of us a mtn community posted they got 30", we got a lot and have snow drifts that my quad may have some issues with - we shall see... Cold and more snow tomorrow night - got to get the drive and garage area cleared today.

I also have a shovel and a stiff synthetic broom staged at the two doors, deck and garage. I also have a wide snow shovel for the patio that will not work so well today, will need the grain scoop for that. Brooms are used more than the shovels, a lot of our snow is light and fluffy so a broom works well in most cases.. Not so much this time

Oh Boy, have a great day everyone, I have a lot to do today

COFFEE!!! Decaf coffee... but still COFFEE!

Hoping for a day in the sixties here so I can paint my wheels before the new tires go on. I never did find a used tire that matched the three BFGs so I just pulled the trigger on a new set of Geolandars. We'll see if the tires show up today after being missing-in-action on Friday. Should be a beautiful day.
If any of you guys living in the wake of the storm could direct it back here to dump some snow, we need it bad. Nice days are great, but we could sure use the moisture.

And sometimes they do it amazingly well... and sometimes they are padding their wallets.
