I had a sport years ago and liked the look of the fake hood scoop a lot, but found that it obstructed my view off-roading and trapped dirt and moisture and such. They do look mean though.

I believe all it really is is the TRD OR wheel with a vinyl covering. Some people go that route or try plasti-dip.

Interesting... You'd think they'd be powder coated.

The guy who I'd hoped would swap me likes his dark alloy sx/SR5 rims...Go figure. They look really good.

    Quick question:

In quickly comparing the offroad and the sx/sr5 wheels, they both seem to hide the valve stem pretty well to protect it when off-roading, but I am assuming that the TRD off road wheels are a bit better at this?

Looking up close, they could be. But the dark parts appear to be the same as the dark parts on the regular OR wheels.

I got a guy who wants to swap wheels locally. Before I go ahead with it, is there any functional difference/advantage to the TRD OFF-ROAD wheels over the SR5/SX wheels? Better hidden valve stem, strength, debris not getting through holes, Ease of cleaning etc. anything at all? Thanks in advance. Bout to pull the trigger and want to make sure I’m not going to have any ragrets....not even one letter.
