EVO, I bought two pair and if one doesn’t fit and I can’t send back she can keep it as a spare... or one of my other chicken leg friends can wear them. I want them tight, but not so tight my toes turn purple.

Great thing about having two pair, the airs for not so gnar, these for big days. However anything’s better than nothing. The airs survived the rocks at Windrock impact.

 

Yeah, I have a lighter set of Leatt 3dos that are a more traditional cut for general riding days. TBH I don't wear knee or elbow pads around my usual trails, but having options is nice to have.

 

Ive never worn elbow pads even with the motocross and enduro days. I know it can happen, but they just don’t see that many impacts.

 

They won’t let me use the 15% new customer discount code on the POC knee pads. Stupid.

 

Certain brands don’t allow discounts. Idk if POC is one of them.

 

Nah not a brand throng because one of the poc vests is listed. Simply not the knee pads.

Got my 1UP usa rack and new tires for my stumpjumper! all ready for spring!
People who have the 1UP racks how do you guys lock and secure your bikes on them? I know they sell locks for the wheels but they don't look very secure at all

 

Well, I’d say you still need a threaded cable around chain. Most people probably won’t know how to operate the 1up and would just break it to get bike out.

 

I use a combination of their wheel locks (which are fairly secure. essentially one would need to pick them several times to get them to unthread all the way. or an angle grinder but that's an attack that can be used on almost any and all locks). and a threaded steel cable with a kryptonite lock on the end of it. If I want to be extra secure, I have a kryptonite chain that I wrap my bike or bikes with.

 

I forgot all about Lunch Loops. Those trails are awesome.

I believe Colorado Natl Monument was mentioned already. There is an area over by Palisade (also some new trails) but I don't know about cost for camping there. I kind-of remember there being some dispersed sites up near the top of The Ribbon trail, but I have no idea if they are still there. If so, they are probably covered in snow.

super easy to find a spot, but kind of sketchy tbh. we rolled in after sunset in colorado national monument. a few trailers near the entrance and some people driving atvs and buggys with cool lights. all the spots were kinda trashed though. there was a stripped out civic there too, doors and seat gone and everything.

Yea I may hit up the Colorado Natl Monument. Seems pretty close to Grand Junction and not too far off the beaten path.

Finally dry enough to ride the trails in my new neighborhood. Elevation was more than I’d expected.

 

I surprisingly haven’t hit my elbows yet. I know that’s not a reason to not have pads but oh well. I’ve got a knee scar from a crash with knee pads....so...

Well, this happened. Exact color, size and build I wanted. Just gotta find a Grip2 damper later this year to replace the stock Grip one. First ride in a couple of days once I get some protection on it.
