Not a nice start to the morning commute this morning. The truck braked but didn't come to a full stop. I guess I need a light bar now and a bigger horn :-(

No way they didn't see you...just a dumb tourist who thought it was a 3 way stop, maybe?

I haven't even left the subdivision yet. Not ruling out a tourist but we routinely walk around the block and this section isn't marked "3 way" stop. I just says "stop".

What's the issue? The other car was probably wondering why you stopped with no stop sign. That's the WTF part from my POV.....

Skip the lightbar. Upgrade your horn and escort detail.

I believe the issue was vehicle #2 did not come to a full stop. Based on my assessment, the vehicle I was driving was going to make contact with vehicle #2. In case of contact I have dash cam footage to show that vehicle #2 was at fault but I decided I didn't have time to go there.

Looks like he stopped and didn't see you so decided to go but then stopped because he did see you? So weird. Some people really shouldn't drive lol.

Seems like it was pretty early in the morning, a good time for:

    - ditching a one night stand in a hurry
    - hungover teenagers leaving a party in dads truck
    - half-asleep trips to the office

Seems like a very common near-collision, why stress it? Walk that street next time and see if that guy lives down there.

I reviewed the footage again and it appears there was a 3rd vehicle just leaving the subdivision. I suspect the F250 was following that vehicle #3 because it shows v3 slowing down, as if hesitating

I feel like maybe that early he was fumbling around with a coffee mug or something that distracted him. I don't get people you're at a stop look both ways. Lol. Glad no one got hurt though.

Fumbling with coffee mugs definitely not ruled out here.

Good point. I thought I kind of know all of the trucks parked on the drive way in that part of the subdivision, that white/light colored F250 doesn't register. I guess I'll have another walking session later.

Looks like he was just scubbing enough speed to let you go by, but then you messed up the smoothness of the interaction by unnecessary stopping. The guy behind you is probably posting his dash cam video asking why ssomeone in front of him stopped with no stop sign.

Not even close to a near miss. You obviously don't ride A motorcycle :^)

There's a reason why our state has one of the highest insurance rates in CONUS. This ain't an isolated thing.

There's a reason why Louisiana ranks among states with the highest insurance rates in the country. See that white 1995.5 Tacoma? It was rear-ended by a driver on her phone. The following day the rental car I was driving was rear-ended by a lady who showing her dog how to drive :)

If everyone had their dogs drive them around, our insurance rates would decrease.

I see the driver to the left, doing a rolling stop, then continuing. Typical scenario>>>all the time.
Driver to the left, for whatever reason was at fault.
Vehicle to the right has the right of way.
There was no stop, or yield, and was through traffic.
Driver to the left needs to have their business ready to go when driving.
Technology, sleepy, coffee or otherwise farking around.
Driver to the left was at fault.

Over exaggerating the situation here. The car had obviously stopped, but you decided to stop. I want my 30 seconds back.
