I run a 265/75 for my snow tires. I recommend the size.

I prefer the look of more tire, so I am in the 265/75/16 camp.

I know many say they don't rub but im wondering if thats just because they stay on road. Have you ever been off roading and rubbed from articulation? I want a tire that wont rub in any situation.

Mostly Forest Service trails some of which have gotten mY truck pretty flexed out, I live in the Gila NF so I’m out on trails very often. Never rubbed my 265/75/16 Duratracs on my stock wheels. Now that I added 1.25” wheel spacers they rub, it made my 265’s the “width” of a 295... so dumb lol but you’ll be good!

for K02s 75’s are taller but speed rating is R vs S for 70’s. 70 handle better but 75 give a little more clearance.

I like the look of the 265/70/16 much more on a non-lifted truck. 75’s to me look too stuffed in there on a stock truck. I feel like as soon as you see the 75’s stuffed in there you’ll want a lift.

Can’t go wrong with 265/75 Wildpeak AT’s! Great all weather traction (including New England winters) and you can’t beat the cost!

75s fit awesome on my bone stock offroad.
You might see a negligible drop in mpg. the slightly larger tires changed my speedometer from a little fast to exactly deadnutz on

I'd say as long as you buy a good tire it won't really matter too much though, buy what you can get in your desired load/speed rating and then just use it

There are more options in 265/75/16 plus they are generally cheaper than 265/70/16's. They are about 1" taller and the same width. I just don't see any downside to them. For some reason Toyota has always offered 265/70/16 or 245/75/16 as stock tires but at one time Nissan came with 265/75/16's on both the Frontier and Exterra.

Love my 265/75/16 Duratracs. Stuffs themselves in the wheel wells nicely. Also waited a few years before doing the 2/1" Bilstein 5100 Lift. Now they almost look small in there. Next tire will be a 33" 255 pizza cutter tire.

I just put 265/70 Toyo open country AT III’s on my new SR5 and I’m extremely happy with them. For me it was the middle ground size between the little 245 street tires the truck came with and the max stock size 265/75. I don’t think you can miss either way. As most have said there’s weight and mpg as a possible factor but I’d go with whatever you want

Looks good man! I think I’m going to put that exact tire and size on my 2018 SR5 before winter.

The 245’s gas mileage was nuts. I was getting 28 mpg. Now I’m at 21. But the truck looks better. And there’s a lot more options for the 75s than the 70s or the 245

Any noticeable difference with your 2.7L vs the stock 245s?
