0 offset, I really thought there would be a slight rub but luckily I have zero rub on full turn, bumps, etc. I will be upgrading my suspension to the eibach pro lift kit with the spc UCAs so I'm certain their will never be any sort of rubbing. I'm happy with the 265 tire, I mean we all would want 37s but me personally I would never cut into my truck CMC. 32 for now. Maybe in the future I will consider running some 33s

That looks awesome, mine will be the same, fx pro wheels 17x8 0 offset and 265 70 17 Toyo at 3s. No flaps. So I should have no issues either. I agree I don’t wanna cut my truck either. I’ll post pics when I get them on.

265/70/17 on SEMA wheels, stock 19 trd sport. Rubs on front driver side mud flap at sharp turns. Very minimal but rubs.
Had a 2016 sport with same wheels and tires, no mud flaps, and no rub

    Ok I’m confused.
I’m reading everywhere that 265/70/17 on TRD Sport is safe and there’s no rubbing. Then I read this thread, many seem to have rubbing but they’re all also using aggressive tires.

I have a couple questions I hope someone can answer:

Stock truck(no mudflats) swapping just the stock tires for 265/70/17, will there be a rub?

Will changing 265/65/17 for 265/70/17 improve ride quality without issues? Like bumps, potholes and such.

My driveway is a steep one... I want slightly bigger tires than stock but not if it’s going to rub. I do highway driving so I don’t really need All Terrain treads. I was thinking of Michelin LTX M/S.

stock TRD Sport wheels with those tires almost certainly will not rub anywhere at static ride height. The LTX M/S doesn't have silly sidewall decorations and tall corner tread blocks, so that helps.

Ride quality will be more dependent on the tire itself (construction, tread design, inflation pressure, etc) than a 1" change in size at sidewall sizes that you're talking about. If you install a wheel with more offset, you will be more likely to have some interference with the aft wheel well liner/mud flap at high steering angles, especially on bumps. The stock TRD Sport wheels keep the wheel/tire tucked in pretty close to the hub.

So with stock wheels I shouldn’t have any problems sizing up a bit with the Michelin tires. I’m assuming the Michelin tires will perform better on highway and normal roads than the stock TOYOs. But with just 1” sidewall gain and ride height I shouldn’t feel any bouncing or big changes to how the truck drives right? Mainly just looks and better performing tires?

I have the trd off road not the sport. I have 265 70 17 Toyo open county 3 At. They look great have a great tread pattern for all roads and they ride really well with very limited road noise. Toyo also makes that OC 2’s as well which has a slightly lesser tread pattern and also performs well ... Nice thing about Toyo is their warranty. It’s the best in the business. My wheels are the fx pros with 0 offset. I don’t have mud flaps and have no rubbing issues even at full crank. If I put flaps, I may experience a slight rub on the lower fender wall, but a very slight trim would fix that with no issues. My suspension is also stock.. you can go to 31.6 in total tire diameter with very limited issues. Stock is 30.6. So your allowed that 1 inch at stock suspension height.
