It was great to meet you guys, good times! Thanks for the trip out!

@silvertep definitely would love to make that run again! Here's some pics from probably 2010, maybe 2011 of my first trip though in my '07.

I moved out to grass valley area from Colorado last summer and am trying to link up and run some trails. I just got back from Carson river hotsprings > Big Sur> hollister hills trip. Just curious who’s local and wants to go hit some trails up?!?

Sounds like a fun trip. I might have to spend at least one night though. I’ll have to pick a weekend where I can depart at 0600. Any particular spot you’d recommend?

    What High School?

What does American River College offer these days?

Hands-on trades are always needing folks. HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing are all good skills.

Yep, got my associate's degree from ARC. Later got pissed at Engineers, who got paid more but didn't understand "learn by doing". Got into Cal Poly SLO. BS degree in Engineering. Haven't looked back but at the time there was no electronics industry in Sacramento, so ended up in San Jose.

I'm in Texas these days, still have family in Sacramento. So planning on road trips and get in some camping.

    I can appreciate one’s aspirations.
In downtown Sacramento there is a co-op where you can go and learn welding, CNC, and all sorts for free. I just don’t remember the name. Perfect for you and your aspirations.

secondly, I highly recommend look into the State of California’s student intern/work program. It is a entry level paid part time paid program where you remain in college and learn trades within Ca State agencies. Agencies such as Caltrans and others who deals with your ambitions and goals.

Do some research online via the state’s websites and feel free to Message me if you run into a dead end.

when a youngster like you with ambitions and goals publicly ask for help, you are going to get help my dude!

The backside is probably still snowed in, but the boat launch is plowed and should be open...same with the picnic area.

I'm going to head up that way. See how far I can get (loon maybe). A month or so back I went up to Echo Lake. Already been there and don't feel like going that far east.
