I think these wheels are both iconic and timeless. I wanted them for a while. During the TRD Day I was able to get them for 40% off and picked up a spare OEM wheel from eBay. I was very lucky! I love the Brushed Copper SCS wheels but I don't know if I could ever part with these!

Nice! I've got the same soft top. How do you like yours? How long have you had it on?

I had it on about a year, I liked it a lot, and I also loved the rear tire swing out. I took the top off because I use my truck bed so much I keep taking the top on and off. It’s for sale now in the 2nd gen section. I took the swing out off too because I have to drive with tailgate down sometimes and it’s a pain to do so with the swing out open. Its not the first time I’ve took this stuff off and put it back on though. Haha

You could always pick up the even more rare 17" Rock Warrior wheels (not to be confused with the 5-lug Tundra versions).

I have a set of 5 with matching tires...

I hear ya. The reason I got the soft top instead of a hard top is because I need to use the bed too randomly for work, sometimes to the point where I need to remove it and so much easier to take on and off than a hard top.

Wow I have seen these referenced and only thought they were all the 5 lug Tundra wheels. What is the story with these? Can you still order them from toyota or similar deal to the ones I got where they were originally made for a different vehicle and you can't order them anymore? They look awesome dude, congrats on those!

I had the opportunity to buy a set of these back when Toyota had the TRD 40 sale, and I passed because I couldn’t find the SEMAs on discount and was stuck on those. I often regret it because in hindsight I think they both look great in their own way and I would have been perfectly happy :(

No, you can't order them. VIN locked to the specific years of 4Runners that paid the dealer for the option.

FYI - Don't let any tire shops use the specific tools that come with the splined lug nuts. If they use an impact on it, it will immediately shear apart and you have to buy an entire new set of lug nuts to get replacement tools.

You can get a tool from the manufacturer (McGard), but it isn't as long as the TRD branded one and may lead to scratching the paint/powdercoat on the wheels near the lugs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COTX9S/

Oh sh*t - it's too late I think.. the tire place literally shares a parking lot with my office and I have been getting notifications on my phone that doors are unlocked etc so I know they have been working on it already...

*EDIT - I called and talked to them before they got the wheels on. THANK YOU

Yeah they're VIN locked but I think some vendors online are selling them. Rare and expensive, best price I've seen is around $330 per wheel. Cold forged! Like them:thumbsup:
