What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Is that a Voodoo Bed rack? It looks
like a nice setup your working. Does that tent mount have a lock so someone can’t unlatch it on you?

Thanks man! Yes, it s a 10" KB Voodoo aluminum bed rack with the tonneau brackets. I bought 4 of the Frontrunner small locks that work with these mounts. They'll be a good deterrent but not 100% theft proof.

 

Glad you had a great birthday and that you're loving the tonneau. I had a fiberglass one on one of my previous trucks and loved it. I haul more things now so I went a different direction. Had to take the fiberglass one off a few times and it was heavy and a 2 person job. Did a great job of keeping water out and protecting things. What part of WV are you located?

 

Looks good. Interested in what method you went with to attached the cases. Did you drill through them?

 

I'll look more closely when I next have a chance. It's still winter here (-5 this morning)

Hey there, would you consider the shape of your leaf pack to be normal? I noticed after about 3 years my Dakar with the aal have started to look that way (inverted arch at the axle location). OEM stayed close to flat there. Dakars were flat, but then I beat them like a cheap whore. So I'm pretty sure that's my fault.

 

Installed the Raptor lights. Next up LED headlights and fogs.

 

What kind of mount did you use? I've got a GoPro-like cam and would like to use it in mine, just dunno how to attach

 

I'd be interested in hearing what you end up going with for the leds. Been thinking about converting mine as well but have heard things about short burnout life and unimpressive performance compared to the stock bulbs.

 

Put a Bakflip cover on......they're pricey but I've been impressed with the one I put on the other truck

A lot of folks on here are running the Hikari in both high and low.

the hikari are the best drop in led solution for the price, they often drop into the $30-40 range. Morimotos 2 stroke 3.0 is slightly better but way more expensive.

 

I have a bright orange truck -- I stick pretty close to the speed limits.

Yes, engine bay needs a thorough cleaning but..

In the 5 minute mod category this is definitely a best bang for the buck mod (especially when you catch one w/ damaged packaging for $50 off on Amazon)
