KATZKIN LEATHER for your Tacoma

Finally got a chance to start putting my katzkins in. I got all the back seats and the passenger seat done before I ran out of time this weekend. I will tackle the drivers next weekend. To anyone considering doing this do ittttttttt. I had clazzios on for 2 years and these are a bit more work but better in every way. I learned my lesson. I did black XT leather with silver stitching and tek stitch inserts. The XT has a nice grain to it. They look factory.

@jhuey8947, I bought a kit from you a few years back. I have a huge slice in the back of the passenger seat. Can I just order the one seat? I only really need the seat back part.

 

WHat makes these better than clazzio to you?

 

Great set of leather. Can't wait to put these on when I get my Tacoma.

 

Don't get me wrong the clazzios are a step up from the factory cloth. But they suffer from being over covers instead of being actual upholstery. They kind of soften the lines of the seats and feel kind of bulky. The katzkins fit so much better and I like the grain of the XT. If you can find a taco to sit in that has them in it I'm sure you will feel the difference. Everyone who has sat in my truck has commented how good the seats feel now.

 

Yeah I’ve noticed the soften the lines because they are seat covers they’re not replacing the fabric that’s already there which makes a difference I guess it comes down to do you want to spend 600 or 1200

 

Is it possible to get just the console cover and door inserts? Do they make a dash insert, as well? I have a 2021 Army Green Double Cab. I negotiated the seats done by the dealer in Katzkin Walnut with black stitching and perf body.

 

When they order from Katzkins they can request extra material by the yard. It will be vinyl though. You'd have to get an installer to fit them for you. I like the walnut, it's supposed to match Chevy's Umber interior. I've been considering it for my SR since I have the grey headliner and pillars.

 

Katzkins are in! Now to black out some of this grey plastic...

That color looks amazing! Do you have any installed pics of them in your truck? I’ve been looking for a color that is similar to the ones that come in limited 4Runner and land cruisers.

 

Just got them done yesterday. The lighting isn't the best. They don't really look as red as the pics. I love them.

 

Thank you! I'm sold. I love the mahogany but I think the Walnut color is slightly less rich and bright. Which I think will pair with my non trd grey headliner better.

EDIT: Rich probably isn't the right word, less orange and sporty maybe

 

Looks great. What was the total cost with install?

 

With install and seat heaters it was pricey - $1800.

 

if anyone has a reg cab and interested in black seats with grey like microfiber or the similar alcantara like fabric they have let me know. I only need rears. I know the reg cab is the sale price as the full. Let me know

Are you saying you have the front bench seat cover?

 

No I’m saying whoever wants to get a double cab setup but only need the front buckets and do not need the rear let’s figure it out. If it's a similar color scheme ill snag the rears. I am retrofitting these guys and looking to complete the rear.
