Clazzio to the rescue. They replaced the drivers side bottom section under warranty

Guys, I'm still having trouble with the routing of the string on the inside (nearest the center console). Every thing I've tried has left the string rubbing against a sharp metal edge. I'd think that over time, it will eventually cut the string. The best route I've found so far puts the string more toward the center of the seat instead of the rear of the seat, like in the clazzio install video. Any tips you can offer would be appreciated.

PS, Looking at this video (6 minute mark), his is in the center of the seat, not the rear. Is this how you guys did it? Does it even matter?

How did the red clazzios hold up? I’m tempted to stimulate clazzios with some of this $1400 that’s supposed to be coming.

How was the heater install? I've heard routing the wires is a real pain.

well I got my clazzio @Clazzio order in today after over 3 months. (ordered in December). all I ordered was the bottom covers for the front seats as my 2008 TRD Sport seats were looking a little worn and the other parts were basically unscathed. The color is a tad off (it may not grossly appear that way on camera, but my original seats are really light) -I got the dark gray as that's what the clazzio reps recommended after sending them pics of my truck and interior. I don't think it'll be a dealbreaker but I wanted to double check with others here. Also, looking at some youtube installation videos and clazzio website FAQs I think i'm missing some installation things.. There is NOTHING in my package other than the seat covers and plastic wrapping ... NO installation instructions, NO Check list,....NO prying plastic tool anything.... NOTHING but the covers and the plastic covering on them.... a youtuber mentions that the correct seat cover to install varies from driver to passenger even on the bottom "Butt" rests. I'm attaching the best pics I can capture of my current setup..current worn seats and then with the seat cover I received laid on top. Lemme know if you guys think I can pull off this color mismatch and also if you have any tips for knowing which side is which given I have no labels, instructions, or anything.....anyone else rocking a slight mismatch ?? I'm hoping it won't be as noticeable and stark as it is only the bottoms of the front row seats. I also hope that these are the correct Covers for my model Tacoma (2008). My covers don't even have a clazzio label on these things and I ordered from the Legit Clazzio website. thanks guys.

They're not in the business to match oem materials. Not sure why you'd expect that?

That Said, they should of included the tool and paperwork at least. ‍♂️

I was actually rocking a mismatch between the headrests and the seats before I ordered my clazzios (because I had aftermarket dvd headrests installed) and it irritated me a bit each time I saw it (my OCD was kicking in there). If there is a specific side that one should be on versus the other I believe you will notice it right away as you try to install them (excess material where it shouldn’t be kinda thing). For what it’s worth, I would save up the money and buy the seat backs as well. These covers look amazing once installed as a complete set and I think you will be much happier with a full matching set. That’s just my two cents though. Looks like you have a nice clean truck there.

My tip would be to contact Clazzio. I ordered a whole set but you should receive installation instructions, a tool and they should be labeled.

I wanted to share my clazzio experience- I have not had good luck with them- these covers are 3 1/2 years old at 85000 miles. I had Katskin leather in my last vehicle and they lasted 8 years and 500,000 miles.
I treated the clazzio covers with leather conditioner regularly and still the drivers side did not last. I am not overweight, nor do I get in and out of the truck a lot. The cover started failing immediately after the warranty expired.
I hate to say anything negative about anything - but It is important that all of us tacoma owners share honest feedback about the products we purchase-
