We went to Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, badlands, Mount Rushmore, etc on a two week camping trip when I was 12 in 1987. I remember a lot of it, it was beautiful. We had a 1987 1/2 ton regular cab Chevy pickup with my parents, my brother, and me in it. It was tight. I ask dad a couple years ago what they spent on gas, (he pulled a 26’ camper) gas was around .59¢ a gallon. He said they spent $1,000

Exactly -- we (guys) put on this big show "I can fix anything" and when it comes to what matters most, our people (and pets), you are left powerless -- just twists your insides.

 

This reminds me of when brother and I went on camping trips with my grandparents.... reg. Cab 4x2 3/4 Chevy. Baby blue with the spare tire on the front grill, dual fuel tanks, camping mirrors strapped on the front fenders and a big wing on the roof . Joe and I made sleeping quarters in the bed on the road trips. Oh the good ole days

I got myself an apple fritter and Bavarian cream filled, chocolate frosted long john on Sunday on my way to the airport.

I had to go with maybe. It's going to depend on if concerts get going again.

 

Just got quoted $1375 for a new water heater installed, knock $25 off and they thought I'd never know I guess lol.

 

This is long but pretty cool, can't imagine what this kid could do if he had a drill press, or band saw much less a lathe or mill

Not so much the added acreage but being able to drive in a straight line as long as possible .

With the equipment getting bigger and bigger the less having to turn saves so much time.

The combines of my youth herein the East would get laughed at and people would ask How did you get anything done??
