Yes, this truck happens to be quite easy to work on with plenty of room under the hood.

    excellent,
how was getting the header off? did any of the bolts snap off in the head? That would be my biggest fear. I'm in need of some exhaust work and have been putting it off due to the fear of snapping bolts in the head

Nope, no issue with the studs, I did find that the nuts are made of a softer metal, so when wrenching on them to remove the manifold be careful. I would spray some wd40 on each nut to allow it to come off easier.

Nice setup. How does the 2.7L do with the bigger tires? I’m thinking about upgrading to 265’s and wondering if it will affect performance around town. I already have to floor it to get on the highway with the stock 245’s!

PERSONALLY the 255/80/17 with the steelies DRAG ya down. They’re heavy. If you get 265/75/16 I would say stay away from the LT size unless you’re loading the truck. But any extra poundage will always hurt a little bit.

Age old question that I can’t find a straight answer for: 5100s set at the top on factory coils or 5100s set at 0 on OME 884 coils? Looking to lift my 2011 4cyl access cab 4wd 2” without replacing UCAs. Anyone here have experience with the 884s on a second gen access cab?

Ive had this thing for 3 years and ready to get the suspension upgraded. Thanks!

FWIW, i bought mine used w/ 5100 w/ what i believe are stock coils set at top notch. It apparently never had an alignment after, cuz it drove horribly. I have since got an alignment and drives 100% better, but i still think UCA's would help. I have purchased a "cheap" option(freedom offroad), they have mixed reviews on here from what i have found. I have not installed them as I am also considering the 884's for a better/smoother ride. Hoping someone else chimes in w/ 884's. Pic for reference

Clean looking truck! That’s good to know on the 5100s. Hopefully someone can chime in on the 884/4 cylinder combo. I just got a response from ARB below, I emailed asking what the lift for a 4cyl Access cab on 884s would be. Would like to confirm their claims by someone running the 884s before spending the money...

“For a 4cyl with no added weight, the 2884 is the way to go. This will get you close to 2" of lift...You will be able to get close to the factory specifications without UCA's. With adjustable or our UCA's, you can get to the exact specification (0 degrees).”
