Deal through Twitter for 2011 Toyotas

Just to let you all know (if you know anyone that is in the market right now) there is a deal through buyatoyota.com where if you sign up for twitter you can get a $500 debit card from Toyota.
I figured out how to obtain one, because it doesn't work uness you go to the very fine print and click on "Terms & Conditions". Then you have to click on the link toyotasharathon.com. It directs you to your twitter account to "tweet" a pre-populated message from Toyota. Once you do that you're directed to a form to fill out. Once that is submitted you get a certificate with a number to enter at the redemtion website AFTER you have purchased the Toyota.
I'm not a fan of twitter but I did it anyway just to take advatage of the extra money.
It ends tomorrow I believe.
I'm not trying to promote Twitter-I just signed up to take advantage of the debit card offer if I decide to buy this month.

 

does this onoy work uf you buy a car or truck? will it work for parts?

I ordered a 2011 which I will take delivery on December 20th (I hope). As long as the official sale date is not when I placed the deposit, but when I take delivery, I should be good to go.

Sounds awesome but just if you buy the vehicle not toyota parts or anything right?

 

My best guess is new vehicle only if Toyota is giving up 500 beans...

 

Sorry for slow reply, but yeah it's only on 2011/new models. I read over and over the terms and conditions and think as long as you buy the car within the month of December, and then redeem your certificate with a valid VIN, etc, you get a $500 debit card from Toyota.
But who really knows. It could be something that if you go in and buy, then try to redeem it could only be good for a Camry or something...

Had to take a step back from the buying process, I just felt a little overwhelmed and needed to clear my head a little before I go sign on the line.
This is my dream vehicle and I gotta get it right the first time cause were gonna be together a long time!!!

Got an email on 12/14 saying my certificate was processed and I should receive the card in 4-6 weeks. I'll post when I get it. Thanks again for the heads up.

I don't know why Toyota didn't promote that Twitter deal more heavily.

I did pull the trigger on my truck and picked it up today. I HATE signing loan papers...makes me feel sick-lol
But I think it panned out pretty well.
So I have to give the shock a few days to wear off, but I am pretty beside myself with joy about the truck.

That's awesome...really glad I could pass that along and that it could be taken advantage of. I submitted my info & VIN about 2 weeks ago and am hoping that mine will be in the mail soon.
