I have a new exhaust manifold and new gaskets on the y collector. New O2 sensors front and rear. THe voltage graph shows signs of it being the cat causing my P0420 so im finally going to replace that with the complete cat back exhaust I got off a 2nd gen tacoma

When I rebuilt the engine and reinstalled the old injectors 3 had a resistance of about 16ohms but one had a resistance of 256:bananadead:

I installed it anyway cause I needed the truck running and it operated better than the knock off pink injectors I bought, so I didn't question it. After the missus got cranky over not being able to afford to lose braincells like I apparently can, I figured it's time to tackle the issue:laughing:

You might be able to just get them rebuilt.

Or I can send mine, which are cracked.

I thought I read somewhere that if the resistance gets too high they're not rebuildable? Also I can't be out of a vehicle for the time it takes to disassemble, mail off for rebuild, then reinstall.

Where are yours cracked? Have you checked the resistance on them?

haha, I dunno...if it is who I think it is, they are the ones always outside tinkering on something (working under cars without jack stands usually). Or it was the house next to them. I also wouldn't be surprised to find out they had a small meth lab in their garage.

    That's the real question:rofl:

In my small engine days I had a customer that was always in a bad mood because his business was failing. Then one day he came in and bought a brand new saw just as happy as can be, asked about the mood change and he had a "freak accidental" fire just in his garage from a battery tender attached to his Harley battery "somehow the battery was dry" and caught fire.

Firefighters ruled it an accident and he got a huge payout

Damn I don't think that gets replaced when they rebuild em. Plus I have since learned that the older motors don't like the pink injectors for some reason, so ill stick with the new brown ones

    Thanks for the offer though

I don't, but some people do. I don't see why it would need it though unless some part of the rubber in there was falling apart.
