IIRC a few people in the reviews did just that and found that it blew up

 

I dated a girl once in Glendora turned out she was on meth (couldn't tell by looking at her No meth mouth) Pont of this comment there is so much Meth in the San Gabriel valley

 

Oh and plan on buying more hose. The hose that came with it was too small to go onto the cooler.

 

Yeah when I was out of high school, it was a huge problem all over socal esp in the valley we were in. I'm sure it still is in a lot of areas

 

At my second job they were designing a duel pressure power pack to provide 2 separate circuits with 12gpm flow at 2000psi. Our "engineer" who came from structural metal fabrication and had no fluid power tied both returns together but dropped the hose size from a 1" down to half inch to use the stock filter we had on the single circuit powerpack. I strongly advised against it but he assured me it was fine cause it wasn't the pressure side of the system.


Even though it was on the return side that size difference created such a pressure spike at the filter it blew off like a shotgun blast in the first 5 seconds of testing



They ask for my opinion more frequently now lol

 

Cool, I'll probably get the cooler first then and compare it with the rack before I install anything. That way I'll get the right hose off the bat.

I only know they're crack/meth heads because of how quickly they ride away

 

The engineers with bad intuition are always fun to work with Some of them are pretty worthless until they've worked out the whole problem on paper first, and even then. Just can't beat experience.

 

For the business it was smart to hire him because of his solidworks experience as well as most of our engineering work was needed for drawing and designing machine frames for our existing equipment.. he's a crazy smart guy but definitely missing the experience in hydraulics for new equipment..


The shop lives off real world trial and error though so I don't fault him, we're all flying by the seat of our pants in that department.. but I got to be very smug with an "I told you so" because It was my recommendation to switch to a high pressure filter housing that Donaldson makes but they're about 2.5 times more expensive so I was vetoed

You are correct though, I just looked up that Donaldson filter housing for poops and giggles to see if I'll install one on the high pressure side of the PS. 533 bucks for just the housing, not including the filter and new high pressure custom hoses has determined that, no, I will NOT be doing that

 

Parked my truck on the street while a blew out all the accumulated leaves and crud from the garage and driveway. A guy in a 4-door Chevy PU slow rolls by and then comes back and asks if I am selling it. I tell him no and he asked not even for $7000? I told him not at any price and $7000 was an insult.

You can get the injectors serviced or install new o-rings yourself. If your injectors are healthy, most likely only need o-rings as preventative maintenance. I refresh my own for Nissans and published a how-to article about it.

 

You are right.. you really cannot rebuild an injector for that reason.. There is no way to get to the coils and internal blades.
