I loved them when I didn't have the extra weight. I have hangers now and no regrets. The flip was tippy AF when loaded down.

 

I got the new water jug in and it’s the perfect size. The plastic appears a bit thin but time will tell if it holds up. Overall I’m happy with it. Expired half gallon of milk destined for the trash for scale.

 

Oh and my old 7 gallon jug for scale.

How big is that speaker? I've been trying to find a micro-speaker for my GMRS, but never found anything.

 

It is surprisingly large. I'd have to take a tape measure to it but I'd say 5" square and 2.5" deep

 

No need. I saw a tiny speaker that was specifically made for CBs or whatever. I looked for it and couldn't find it. It was a while ago, so who knows? When I think about it again, I'll look. Too many other concurrent projects going on right now.

 

This one is specifically made for these radios and would work with CB's too. It just has a 3.5mm jack on the end of a 6' cord. If you can find a place to squeeze it, you'd be happy with the performance. My other mounting idea was going to be to double sided tape it to the back window lower corner.

 

Yup. Yup. Here's the issue: I have the mic hanging from the center console in the ceiling. Great spot. If you don't have limited hearing in your right ear. So, ideally I'd want to put something on the B-pillar so it'd blast right in my ear hole. But I don't want a gi-normous speaker sitting there.

 

Trust me, this thing is LOUD. Normally I have my mic volume maxed out at 9, but putting this on level 2 is equivalent to that and can go much louder. Wherever you put it, you'll hear it.

 

B is the human equivalent to the green strap. And you the red of course Randall

 

Green is definitely Miguel with his bum tilapia. I’ll say B is the orange, cheap and ok for the money.

 

Okie dokie. I'll look at some spots to mount it. Right now, I'm re-fabricating my wiring harness for the Rigid chase light and tracking down plugs. I have issues.

 

That is why you are the smart one in the group Rand. Looking at the picture again, B is definitely the orange. It looks beat, used, abused, dirty, & awkward, yet its still together having fun.

Randy since you know everything all the time...

I’ve had my deavers on for a couple weeks, and twice now the overload springs on both springs are pigeon toed.

What’s causing this? Where they just not cranked down hard enough? Seemed snug to me, in fact I had to loosen the ubolts to hammer them straight. Is my frame bent? Am I just a weakling and didn’t tighten the ubolts enough?
