I'm down. I've got weekends free now so any weekend I'm good. I didn't realize you also ordered the LCA pivots. you got my # still. I won't have the UCA double sheer or the hydro bump mounts until my LC gets delivered but we can knock out the LCA pivots on both trucks and you can use my spindles as a view on how they are supposed to look

 

How hard is it to pull the spindles with just hand tools?

 

Easy a couple hrs tops if you really take your time.

If you want to get a set gusseted we can swap them out here. I got total chaos or JD Fab gussets.

yeah, so it took a bit of visualization but I added another channel to the gantry with angle iron (overkill) and even ended up fitting the torch cable so the Y axis is sorted. I mounted the motor control box centered below and am going to build another angle iron channel for the X axis. All movement is non-binding and free at this point!

 

Can anyone recommend the best place to call about getting some square steel tubing for a project I'm about to start on?
Not sure where to start. Would rather go through a small business then a big box store like lowes.

I have price checked them against Dillon in Raleigh in the past and they’re competitive. And easier to drive to for me

 

Raleigh metal supermarket will cut to length and their prices are ok.
