I’ve been eye balling ADS for the tundra when I grow tired of the billies.

Well I mean her dad did just suggest a nice Traeger or Webber smoker just 20 mins ago; his words in front of Stephanie?

    "It's only 1199; you save 200!"

Meh, they make good moto shocks but I dunno about truck shocks.

Let me know when you want real shocks. ADS is only 20 minutes from the house. Always fun to go down there and see their shop.

I’ve got to pay my one and only loan off and get the Tacoma running around. Then the tundras back on the list for a more proper suspension and full exhaust.

As of now the tundras only getting interior done and wheels/tires for now. Other than that it’s done for the time being

Those look sleek but they’re not very functional. You can’t turn the “scoop” backwards like you’re supposed to in heavy dust or snow. Rather have no snorkel at all

It's on the truck already so I'm going to try it with a pre-filter sock thing. Have on on order right now. Slip it on when I'm in super dusty conditions. If it doesn't work, I'll just get another fender and try again. Fender and ebay snorkels are fairly cheap.

Either way, it's gotta be better than no snorkel at all. The stock intake inside the fender is wide open to all the dust kicked up by the tire in the fender well. And part of the plastic fender liner is gone so a lot of dust gets in there. Now it's at least completely sealed up the the snorkel intake.

OP, the reason I’ve been asking you so many questions is I bought a salvage 2007 V8 runner at auction a while ago with intentions of making a CARB legal swap into my 07 Taco. It’s just been sitting at my dads yard in CA, kinda too nice to strip the motor from as it runs and drives straight down the road. Plus, I’m not sure currently if I’ll keep the Taco cuz I need a full size as well.

anyway, with the vvti can you still supercharge it? I know Bullit out of Oz makes a kit but it’s 10 grand and uses a piggyback (both suck hahah). Barring FI, I know Kelford out of NZ makes cams and springs, and there are some nice exhaust options out there but then you really need a good ECU tune. Do you know if anyone cracked the computer so that you can really tinker (ie, log, read and write, turn off cat monitors and SAI, etc.)? I heard Alientech does but couldn’t find much on google...

Supercharger replaces the intake so I assume it would be fine. My 2003 is not VVTI, even though I'm running the VVT intake on it. They are a direct swap and give a little bump in power for the non-VVTI motors. Also drops almost 30lbs off the top of the engine.

Don't think anyone has cracked the 4runner computer yet but @Empty_Lord has mentioned to me someone is close or has done it for the 1st gen Tundra which is very similar to the 4th gen 4runner.

The super chargers WONT fit the VVTI engines unless you run plenum spacers, the issue is the air injection pump.

You mean the secondary air injection? That’s why I asked about full suite ECU tuning, like HPTuners for the Tacos. You can turn that whole system off, yank all the pieces and either block the ports at the exhaust manifolds or run the older manifolds/headers.

There is a kit to do that for the 4th gen 4runners that have AIS. Check over on toyota-4runner.org in the 4th gen section.

Not something I've had to deal with since I don't have the AIS on my truck.
