We had a dog that was too slow to get away from skunks, and too stupid to leave them alone. Tried all the stuff above. Tomato juice, didn't do anything. Vinegar/baking soda, sorta helped, but not really. The winner turned out to be Febreeze in the pump bottle. Cover the dogs eyes, nose, and mouth, spray em down. Don't even have to bring them in the house.

After the 3rd time or so, I started trapping and shooting them. .22LR to the cranium only takes one.

Perma mittens or 30-day mittens? I thought it was the latter, and he had returned the same time Jake re-entered the room.

Can I bother anyone for some trouble shooting input. Sorry this is so long, wanted to be detailed, and Thanks in advanced.
my taco is having an overheating issue. And it is highly Variable. It started 4 hours into an 8hour road trip. and has been vexing me for about a month now.
Motor is freshly rebuilt(~15k miles) with all new components (Water pump/timing thermostat and all).
    Problem
I can putt around town all day; and it sits pretty and the operating temperature no problem. But 20 minutes onto any interstate or any situation maintaining 70+mph for more than 20/30 minutes whether its underload going up hill. or just coasting maintaining speed it will variably increase in heat. sometimes the needle will sit anywhere from 5/8 - 3/4 to hot, only once has it fallen JUST short of red. it is inconsistent in this manner. I've hooked my obd reader to it since, and it can vary anywhere from 88C-102C on average and its worst ever was 108C. I read somewhere that the operating temp should be 91-99C.
    Action taken
I've done a coolant flush, replaced the thermostat, replaced the rad cap, and plan on buying a new radiator after i get paid at the end of the month on fuck it principle.

This motor is essentially brand new, so fingers crossed it isnt the new pump that went on during rebuild. No coolant out the tailpipe. Oil/coolant are not mixing their clean. plugs looked clean upon removal. I do not have a leakdown tester, or a coolant pressure tester, but i can watch it circulate with the cap off. Really it seems like mostly overheating under any/light load, on the highway. I just need some outside opinion at this point because I've vexed.
    Thanks y'all

any chance there is mud caked in your radiator? If you ever went into the deep brown stuff, even after washing the surface of the rad the mud built up between the fins can cause overheating issues

In which position is the jiggle valve on the thermostat? On my truck it made like a 10+ degree difference flipping it from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock.
