My Doug Thorley Pipe Bomb Y pipe failed last year. Hanger rusted out and opened a huge hole in the pipe. DT never responded to my emails. I need to follow up on that some more. But it does not give me high hopes of them as a company. But it gave me justification to get the URD Y Pipe.
When my aFe headers failed, aFe sent out a complete replacement set after a couple of pics of the blown out cats.

 

My dt y pipe bomb failed the same way, I was able to just reweld it though

I'm currently in the middle of trying to figure out WTF with @nudavinci64 because the possibility exists that he ordered the wrong ones for a FJ/T4R or the long tube version.

For some reason the CARB EO no longer pops up on Google either.

 

We found it but looks like some sites need to get their shit together. Says they fit but are actually give you the dual vvti 4runner/fj part number, not the Tacoma one.

But ive never used a scangauge.

But i think a Maestro w/ a compatible radio is the top dog to display obdII gauges.

 

UltraGauge MX v1.4 if you want to monitor automatic transmission temperature and torque converter temperature.

If you have a Manual, you can get the EM model.


ScanGauge is good for the 1st gens since the KP9141 protocol bandwidth is Soooooooo sloooowwwwwwww and if you display more than the 4 available gauges, you get intermittent updating.

UltraGauge lets you have 4/6/8 gauges on the screen at the same time with multiple pages you can configure to show whatever combination of gauges you want. Has an ambient light sensor that dims the screen at night and makes it bright during the day (ScanGauge is always the brightness you set it at).

 

I believe scanguage 1.3 also does trans temps right? I think ti was after 1.2. (really make sense to just get 1.4). I have a 1.3 which should have it but haven't messed with it.

 

Also, any ODBI scanner to your phone, iPad, or head unit works. I run odbfusion via a BT scanner and have trans temps, engine, oil, etc. If you get the odbIMX or (ill have to look exact), it has a Toyota-specific kit you can get that accesses all of those.

 

Those of you who are HPtuned how many miles have yall been running HP? Just curious really, i have been considering swapping back to UCon lately and was wondering about HP longevity
