I'm not sure but I'll look into it and climb up there tomorrow, see if I can save our landlord some $ and figure it out.

The first year we moved here, the heater stopped working and not only did it stop working, the fan stuck on and wouldn't shut off. Right in the middle of February when we had lows in the high 30s at night. That sucked lol. At least that's not the case now.

Our filters get crazy dirty real fast since those big fires we had nearby last summer so I wouldn't be surprised if the sensor is gunked up

Any benefits over a FIC6? Bought a piggyback but no progress since then.

I use the excuse of rebuilding the missus corolla lol. It came from a rust state so I completely redid all the suspension and new body panels and trunck cause some yahoo rear-ended her in a drive thru

Plus the money I want to dump into the truck is unreasonable to non enthusiasts. SO had the start of a conversation awhile ago about how much money I'm putting into it and still want to spend. Thankfully she understood and accepted my reasoning of it being practically a new vehicle for the cost of a good used vehicle. But that used vehicle will still need major maintenance fairly soon where I will not.

However I haven't talked to her at all about the cost of all the extra goodies I want but don't need like lockers, aftermarket seats, bumpers and shiz

Tons, but that's because it's a very capable stand alone. Don't need to manipulate readings and pulses when you can make them correct for your purpose from the start. You'd write you're whole, ignition and fuel maps and you can attach any parts you choose to make it all run. Don't want a MAF, don't use one, run volumetric efficiency mapping with a MAP sensor instead. Want insanely accurate in boost and out of boost fueling, run in two banks with dual wideband o2s and run MAF and MAP. The possibilities are endless. Plus you get failsafes for over boost, ignition failure, leaky injectors...etc

    I have no words.

On my moms, theres a tube that runs from where the forced draft fan is to the sensor. its like a 30 second job to unplug it and clean it once you know its there. I called the HVAC guy the first time it happened after Dad passed and he showed me the whole thing so we wouldn't have to pony up $90 every time the stupid thing clogs.

Blessing and curse of a non-essential vehicle - let's see if your lower arms are installed before my truck drives under it's own power lol

It's a manometer, it reads pressure differential. It assumes there's something blocking the airflow path because there's too much pressure differential from one side of something to another and turns the heater failsafe on.

Thanks, I'm fairly proud of myself! I did have a machine shop bore it out and inspect my aftermarket chinesium head .... and use their 3/4 impact to get the crank bolt loose. I broke so many tools trying to get it off:laughing:

I did used to rebuild power equipment engines so I was fairly confident in my attempted competence :D

I promised the wife I wouldn't have 50 million different little projects like I used to so I'm reserved to having one, and that the truck. I'm just making the one truck into 50 million side projects instead:burp:

*disclaimer, that one project restriction was self imposed NOT because the missus ever said anything like that. She hasn't, but we both know I have a hoarding problem and it's easy for me to curb how much I store if I restrict myself on what I'm storing for lol

Pretty good though, not a thing that most people would feel like is an even remotely approachable project. Feels good when it runs at the end. I was thrilled for days after I put the head back on mine and it started up first try.

I hear ya on the too many projects thing - its the same thing here. I have so many things that would be fun to play with. Eventually.
