Damn! I feel like my dealer will not be as awesome. Was it free because it was done as part of the recall?

 

Not really sure. I think they are just a good dealer. They also adjusted my headlights, no charge. Both recalls, wave realignment, and adjust headlights, all free. It was my first time to the dealer, maybe they are wooing me.

And all of this on a lifted, after market grille, big tired truck!

 

I have an extra chrome Bezel I removed on mine, I bought the black oem. If anybody wants the chrome Bezel for free in Central California come get it. One tab did break off upon removal but it screws on so won't really jeopardize mounting.

 

You still making the TSS compatible ones? Or back to just non-TSS?

 

I emailed the OP a few weeks ago. He mentioned he should have more TSS grilles to ship out soon and he would update here when they are available.

 

Should have them ready to ship out in about a week - ten days +/-, could be sooner. The website is now ready to start taking preorders.

I am incorporating a better and more consistent way the grille will work with the 2018+ Tacomas.

 

I still get compliments on mine and have had it on and off a few times. Fantastic grille

Just preordered and also ordered the 4 runner letters to try and make it look like how it does in the pic below.

I think the letters on the grille below are from a Tacoma Pro grille so the 4 runner letters probably will be slightly smaller. But I didn't get the pro letters because it seems like they have a border around them so they aren't really plug and play nor do they just stick on.

 

Caught up in this thread, anyone have installed their front camera below the grill letters with the TSS had any issues? This grill is on my want list. I have the Natika camera listed earlier in this thread, but I believe they did not have TSS on with it. Can anyone confirm no issues with having both? My grill has the camera mounted below the stock emblem so I have not had any issues with my current setup.

 

I think that if you put the camera below the badge area it is possible it could cause some interference depending on how big the camera is but maybe not since there might be a large enough gap between the sensor and the bottom of the badge area. However, I'm sure there are other locations on the grille that could work well and also would not be so noticeable.

That's where mine is. No problems whatsoever. I drilled a hole in the grille under one of the fins, put a little jbweld on it, mounted the camera and it's been on there for a year. Natika camera too.

Received and installed. Looks like my TSS will need to be recalibrated. It comes on and off while driving.

 

Mine did that and one day it just started working. Give it a bit.

 

It's relearning. Give a couple days.

 

AJT relocation bracket for TSS works great

 

Just installed mine about a week ago and am having zero issues with the TSS so far.
If I do get any issues with the TSS I will use the AJT relocation bracket.

However, when I used to have the pro grille the sensor light would still even come on every now and then. The location of this sensor seems to be in the exact same spot as the pro grille and a thin acrylic shield protects the sensor. There is no metal in front of the sensor just the plastic bar which the radar seems to pass through just fine. You probably just need to make sure it is leveled which is easy to do. I eyeballed it and seems to work good enough for now.

Happy there is another option out there that in my opinion is fitting for this truck and not some funky metal aftermarket grille. Honestly looks like Toyota designed this as a retro style grille.

Also now my truck looks different than everyone else with the pro grille and I am supporting a small American Businesses that is made in America.

I used the 4 Runner Letters that are peel and stick so I didn't even have to drill any holes.
Just lightly put the letters on the grille until they were centered/leveled/spaced evenly. Then once I had everything lined up, I pressed them down firmly so the letters would stick.

Pretty easy overall to install, came with a detailed install guide with pics to help you out.

I would highly recommend this grille, customer service is great. My grille shipped pretty much the next day. You can straight up pick up the phone call/text Travis and he will help you out with any questions.
