Technically both. I have some lights on the bottom of some seats I'm retrofitting but also have a set of 4runner mirrors with puddle lights. that DSIM module looks promising. My guess is we would need to tap into some wires as not sure we have the same connector. we do have one there but not sure if its the same. I messaged him to see if he has one

Ya lol, the change in wiring and polarity really through me off when I was swapping out gen parts. But right on, sounds good. I'll hold off on the doors until I here from you. I'm really curious to know if it'll work out

LED's are available in varying voltages and brightness, including super bright. As another commentor wrote the brightness can be dimmed or brightened by lowering or raising the voltage going to the LED. LED's use extremely low amount of current, in miliamps versus a interior dash light bulb that might use 1 or 2 amps. A dozen LEDS's are not going to negativity affect a dimmer switch and you could always swap some light bulbs for LED's and use less current with more light output.

Sorry brother I was on a mini vacation visiting my daughter and her family that are here temporarily from Italy - including my new grandson, and visiting my parents too.

Not too keen on doing any videos but if anyone would like more info on how everything is wired or know what parts I used I'm willing to share.

Some of my lighting is wireless controlled as well. That is what is sitting on top of the black box in the lighted project box that I mounted right on top of the primary fuse box under the hood.

I'll look up the parts on Amazon and post.
The key component is the DSIM module that taps into the dome light circuit.

I'll add to this: The resistance of any parallel combination will always be lower than the smallest resistor.

Hey @oostroma what LEDs would you recommend for a third brake light? I need to fit 6 total. I'm in the process of making a brake light with a camera in it. :)

Thanks. I've been trying to figure out a way to mount an extra rear cam for a bit. I even considered cutting a hole near the third brake light lol.

No 3D, but I did reach out to anyone on TW for printing help but soon realized I already have all the parts to achieve this.

I like your idea too

If the LEDs you recommend don't fit, I'll just Dremel the holes a bit bigger. I ordered a couple extra 3rd brak lights incase I accidentally break sh@t :D

I bouncing between which nakita cam I want to use. I need the cam to sit flush with the lense to reduce glare.

For drilling holes in plastic I recommend a staged bit like this. I use this for drilling holes in the TRD Pro shift knob for LED installation.

Good idea. That would reduce cracking. Which is what I'm afraid of.
