There is no sample tune

if you want 2.0 you need the tune pack

there’s quite a few threads on modifying tunes

bootcamp is simple. Just run the wizard and follow directions. I’ve been using it for 3+ years

 

There was a 2.0 example tune that @OVTune posted a couple months ago. I think it was 04B04? It was said to not flash it, but learn from it?

That’s what I thought I read before that there was a sample tune, and that it could actually be flash and tweak

 

Tweaked before flashing. OVT said not to run it, just learn from it.

Can I use a classic OBD to tune my taco ? So I just need the tune pack and VFtuner license. (no need to wait for the cables to ship)
Or is it a proprietary cable and plug ?

The cables are not proprietary. But, the genuine Tactrix is the least expensive one that has been proven reliable.

 

this^^ I had a cheap one and could never get it to work properly.

 

I paid a deposit to Delicious Tuning in Vista CA about 2-3 months ago for an OVTune on my 2016. The last I heard was that they were checking with Matt to see if the software is ready.
Any ideas from ovtuned.com how I should proceed ?

 

I'd say get your money back cause they yankin your chain. Software has been available to tune different ECUs for over 6 months now

 

Should request for the deposit back and go with @TWTaco and @PapaRee tuning service instead.
He is in Orange County, with no wait, you can get tuned and ready to go the moment you get there.

 

How much did you lose on the deposit?

You can but most find it is no longer needed.

 

Get rid of your bandaid for a real correction.

VF tune does everything it does and more and ... way better
