    Story Time With Gritto

So I'm coming up on FRA (full retirement age) in a few months.
On Sunday I figured, what the Hell, I'll check out the Social Security website.
I looked at how to apply for benefits online.
You can start your application without filing at that time, and you can save and restart any time with the re-entry number they give you.

    So I did.

I thought I'd stop at the point of actually filing.
When I came to it, I was given the option of filing at the first date without an age based penalty.
    Which for me is June.

    Okay, filed.
    Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

All you fine hard working folks keep paying those taxes.
    Especially @StayinStock.
Me and @Tractorman are relying on you. :)

Now the question is (and it's a toughie)...
Do I quit my part time delivery driver job at the pharmacy?

The blue haired gals I deliver to are always delighted to see me.
I may be the only person they see all day.
And all the gals who work at the pharmacy would miss me (actually true).
    Decisions, decisions...

No Sir, you keep the part time gig.
    1) the chicks dig it
    2) you obviously like it and don't want to quit
    3) the idea of you with too much idle time scares the bejeebus outta me

I dunno, I'd kinda like to hike the Appalachian Trail...
    ...while I still can.

I've hiked most of it in PA, all of it in MD and WV, and part of VA.
In sections, as and when I could over the years.

As to the lovely, sainted and formidable Mrs Gritto...she says no effing way is she doing that. :notsure:

Good Morning What's , checked my bank account this morning, received my $1400.00 dollar gubment check. Now what to spend it on, to support the economy. Maybe the DW Vigil 9mm pistol I found the other day, but man $970 bucks is a chunk of change. Or maybe I should just buy the new S&W EZ shield .380 pistol for $400.00 bucks.
