Question to those running T4R SR5 17x7... What tire size are you running?

I'm running 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak ATs. Same size General Grabber AT2 before that. Once it was good and aligned, I've had zero scrubbing or any issues.

Originally yes. Stock height w/ those tires no issue. Currently running 5100s at .85 up front.. still no issues.

I love those Coopers. Aggressive look and white letters. Are they only available in “E” in the 265/70r17s? I have 265/70r17 GY Duratracs “C” that I plan to replace soon. Great offroad/onroad tire but balancing wasn’t the easiest.

In my opinion these are the best looking OR Toyota wheels out there. Their size/offset is ideal as well.

    Size: 17x7.5.
    Bolt pattern: 6x5.5
    Offset: 15mm
    Backspace 4.8”’s.

They practically sit flush with the fenders. With the OE wheels I considered spacers. With these I’m happy.

When changing the overall tire diameter up by 1/2” - 1”, does the spare also need to be up sized to match?

As long as its temporary, and you do not engage the 4x4, having a mis-sized spare is okay. It will ride like crap, but it'll get you back home. I've still got a 265/70r16 spare on my truck, and have used it a time or two.

Of course, now that your speedo has changed, it'll be impossible to get a real mpg comparison between old wheel/tire and new T4R setup, but maybe you could just say if you're visiting the pump a bit more often... And for those of us with 2.7 i4's mated to the 5-spd MT, have you noticed difference in getup & go off the line or in climbing hills?

I have a 4 inch spindle , freedom UCA and same wheels and I was skeptical about putting 275/70/17 because I don’t think I have enough space between my control arm and tires how did you get it to fit with 285’s lol!?!?

Try and picture this with some 33s... and maybe wheel spacers if you want them kicked out further. You can find the rims SUPER cheap. there's like 6 or 8 sets on FB marketplace right now.

I love the look on a Silver Taco, but i'm on the fence with the Red. Obviously needs more tire, either way.

I just joined this club. I'm on Eibach pro lift kit with 255/80/17 Toyo OC AT3. Love how the wheels look and stick out just enough to line up with the fenders.

245/75/17 I found some brand new Bridgestone Dueler A/T' take offs from a Jerp wrangler that were so cheap, I couldn't pass them up. My 4 banger is happy with that size.
