That being said....The local coffee roaster sent out an email that their Hawaiian Kona is in...I'm game for a 1/2 lb @$30....I grind my own and have a french press...

 

I'm moving my money to Discover or ETRADE as a giant fuck you.

I work from home but for the year I worked in the office prior to covid I packed my lunch everyday. Someone would ask if I wanted to go to lunch almost everyday and I would just point to my desk cooler lol. I’d rather duck out an hour early and work through lunch, not to mention save the money.

 

It's not. My bankers act the same way. At our age most people live close to their biweekly money. Its like anything over a couple G's in the bank and they're amazed. It has really allowed me to live a mostly stress free life throughout my later 20's.

 

And I swear it's the lowest earning wages that spend the most on lunch...WTF are you doing...you're making $15/hr and blowing $22 on chipotle...

 

My wife brings her lunch almost every day, but I honestly need the break from work to drive somewhere, listen to a podcast for a few minutes, clear the stress. Our office will order in for us 2-3 days a week so its really not that bad of an expense.

 

I took a lot of short breaks and walked around campus. I play Pokemon Go so that's an easy excuse to go for a walk

 

Our nurse here would order out twice a day, breakfast and lunch, delivered. At least 3-4 times a week. I'd hate to see what she spent on that a month.

 

ACRX tanked big time because of the results of their earnings (it was expected because elective surgeries are kaput during this COVID time), but I just grabbed a hefty amount in the dip today. They signed some contracts with the government and have close to a thousand research projects signed up for this coming year. Going to be a long hold but hopefully a profitable one

 

I just put 3k of my stimmy in, wife wanted a camera, and I put the rest of her part onto one of her credit cards. So im running the kids stimmys and part of mine (for now) into ASO.

 

I've noticed this too. It's the folks who are always paycheck to paycheck blowing money on lunch like it's their last meal.

I personally buy pre large made salads and a container of blueberries each week for lunch. Averages out to a little under $5 a day with dressing. I've found it's way better for my productivity too, as I don't get that lunch lull

 

Haha, I don't play Pokemon but I should probably start taking walks as the weather gets nicer. My office is in downtown Athens, a block from UGA campus so I could do the same, downtown and north campus still make me nostalgic a bit even though I live here permanently now

 

I have notice the same damn thing. The people with no money are spending $20 on grubhub and stupid stuff. Go to the grocery store, cook some food! $20 goes a long way at the grocery store.

Dumb people.... dumb mistakes, I guess. And, then they wonder why they have $500 saved at the age of 50.
