I was finally told no more truck stuff till floors are bought and put in... (well besides the MESO v5 mirror lights, but I might have the floors done first )

 

I can relate to your bumper...I don’t seem to lose weight either.

Has it changed your ride quality or handling? I went with beefier leafs because I have wanted the high clearance/dual swing out for a while....but was looking for any insights over time of ownership...

 

Coastal Offroad high-clearance with dual swingout. I love it and this thing really takes a beating!

 

did you ever figure out what happened to your diffs? Did the gears blow up, water messed up bearings, or something electical?

LOL. no. It's raptor lined. It's taken some beatings since I installed it, so I'll touch up in the spring

 

My mechanic is working his magic, so I'll know soon. I'm hoping the breathers ruptured due to all the contaminates... As long as the core is good, the rest can be replaced... I'll know soon.

 

Oh, it was! Took some time to drain the intake, also had to disconnect intake hoses from the supercharger and tilt my truck to drain water from the radiator. Then she started and drove just fine! The differential breathers must've taken in water... Lesson learned. Get differential breathers relocated to a higher location! Also I'll be adding a snorkel to prevent water being sucked in the intake.

 

don't you want the water on the inside of the radiator lol? how did gross water get in there and did the coolant come out?

 

Gotcha, well maybe a good excuse to regear and maybe locker time haha

 

I meant to say the cooler for the supercharger... Not radiator.

 

That's EXACTLY what I'm doing... lol. Just waiting for the diagnostic to be done to check if the differential core is salvagable. re-gearing to 5.29, and if the price's right I'll add a front locker. (already have a rear locker)

No real changes over time. I had the Dakar Mediums and now have the ICON RXT's in the 3rd configuration. I do recommend going with the dual swingout. It just makes opening it a little easier in cramped parking spaces and distributes the weight on two hinge points.

 

Same here. I'm also running the ICON RXT at stage 3. Great leaf pack

 

How’s your truck doing? Dried out yet?
