Last few times I've interviewed I was asked early on in if the offered salary for the position would be fine. Which is nice for those "salary depends on qualifications" jobs.

Yeah the recruiter called me a couple days ago to set up the interview and the first thing she said to me was that they can't offer what I was asking for, which is fine because I aimed high of course lol. Probably too high. But when I asked what they were offering, it was way under what I can accept...it's basically what I started at with my current job 6 years ago. Being in my mid 30s now with a kid I can't really do that.

Part of me thinks I should have just said 'thank you but I can't', right then and there...but I told her I'd talk it over with my wife and let them know during the interview. So I guess they might even bring it up first, who knows.

I've got nothing to lose by hearing them out, and if they offer me the chance to fly in outer space then I might have no choice but to accept lol

But seriously what they are offering is kind of brutal compared to what the job listing entails, at least for CA. If it involved moving somewhere where the COL was lower it might be different.

Gotta get the mid-high tier "select" or premium branded ones. Most everybody on the internet has said theyr'e bosch.

I remember when I used to wax my truck, now I just use the 'wax spray' option at the self-wash and call it good

First time the 4R received a clay bar.

    Surprised at the paint job.

Those wax sprays work really well but as a last minute touch up to an already clean car. Not cheap either; used it on some of my cars before.

Oh it's probably not even that good of a wax spray, it's whatever the self wash puts in...I doubt it's the really good stuff, probably just extra soap.

I've never done clay bar before but the results always look really good, I should try it one of these days

You should absolutely discuss compensation but I wouldn't do so unless you called back for a second interview. IMO you don't want to come across like some pompous ass that only cares about money, I understand your concern about not wanting to waste their time but they leave room in their budget for this kinda thing in the off chance they convince some schmuck to sign on for less then they are worth

yeah you're right, my wife said the same thing and she hires people all the time so I should heed the advice. It's that catholic guilt resurfacing, no matter how removed I am from it..it never fully goes away lol.

I wouldn't dare clay bar that fender for fear of the paint coming right off
