I'm looking at some new tires, I prefer to run All Terrain tires. I'm going to stick with the stock tire size; 245/75R16. I recently found some very good prices on AT tires; Hankook $139, Cooper $104, Wrangler $119. I admit I'm probably not going to spring for BF KO's, I know they are a great tire but also very expensive.

Is anyone else running AT's on your 4 banger? What AT tire are you running and recommend?

    Thank you

I have Toyo Open Country AT3s on my 4-cyl. I did go for the bigger 265s though. They have been an excellent tire so far.

Im running cooper st maxx on my 4 banger and theyre good, but super heavy. Probably not an issue though if you stick with 265/75/16 or smaller

I've never bought any at tires bigger than a 15in wow that expensive. 90$ a tire is what I'm used to, yikes.
I think falkens are great, I was the only employee at my company that was able to get to all of our locations to do checkups during the ice storm last month. Killer snow performance.
they just tank your mileage cause they so heavy. But I'm a 5lug auto not sure I count.

I have cooper ATP tires in that size an they have held up well and I have liked them. They are less aggressive than some, but good in the wet and the snow.

The hankooks are great for the price and quiet. Good on and off the road,I’ve had my 31s for over 7 months and they still look new even after running them pretty hard.

I had hankooks on my xterra before I sold it to a friend. I didn't experience any bad things about them, didn't feel like they were a compromise
They actually were awesome, went over Imogene pass east to west on them, never slipped.
    265/70/16
They did pick up a massive chunk of metal this winter from a plow truck, but I can't blame the tire for that.

I feel like they are a pretty underrated tire, because most people go for the more popular AT brands. Which I’ll go without naming...

They look not too aggressive but do pretty awesome, sometime aggressiveness doesn't equal traction.
Sand performance was excellent. Several jeeps got stuck when I just went right over. Honestly makes me consider them again, made a huge contact patch when aired down.

I really liked the tread when I saw them in person nice flat square to the ground. The side wall tread was cool too..gives them that bit of aggressive AT look. My trucks only 2wd and I was driving on my family’s ranch up steep hills with loose gravel rocks mud and dirt. All my friends swore I’d get stuck.

I have Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my 4 cylinder. 25k miles on them and look like they still have a ton of tread left. Good tires for the money.

Ran 265 on my first gen. And I ran the Toyo AT2. Couldn’t say enough good things about those tires. Once needed I’ll be putting them on my 2021 with a set of rims.

I have a line on a set of toyota tacoma 17" alloy factory wheels with BF KO's 265/70r17 on them 50% tread. I think they would look really good but I believe this will make my gas mileage worse than it is now so I'm on the fence.

I agree. I run the 265 75 16 on my 4runner, its a great tire. Quiet and balances well, great rain/snow traction. Ive had them in rocks and hard packed dirt, no issues.

I will get them for my Taco when the time comes for new shoes.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I really appreciate it. I absolutely love tire talk. I'm going to stick with the stock tire size for fuel efficiency reasons. In the future I wouldn't mind going up in size 265/75r16. I'm guessing they look pretty cool on there. New tires are on order, coming soon.
