OP I would never change any factory led lights with cali raised products they are all Alibaba trash coming from China with no form or function. None of their products have been tested like diode dynamics products or OEM.

    Ah! Thanks for the clarification.

It's coming back to me. The sticker said:

    LED DRLs
    and fog lights

    Right?

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
I'm not sure that's entirely correct.

I have the LED package on my 21 OR and I have LED headlights, fog lights and bed light.

Yes. That has been posted a few times. It looks like I got confused with a different issue.

And FWIW, the LED package is incredible. Well worth the $500 or so. It's worlds better than my Subaru with halogen projector beams.

The headlights seem to be significantly brighter than any other factory LED vehicle when coming toward me.

You obviously never came towards a Jeep Wrangler with OEM LED lights. :)

I get flashed a lot in the Jeep, but never been flashed in the Tacoma.

The JLs are pretty bright. The Tacos take the cake though.

I installed the OEM fog light on my 2018 (plug and play) I love them, they are absurdly wide, nice smooth wide line. Only thing I dont like is the OEM halogens yellowish light and the OEM LED light doesnt match great.

The JL/JT OEM LEDs are horrible. They have excessive glare (hence looking bright to others and flashing) but the output is poor. The OEM Tacoma LED headlights are far superior. The OEM LEDs were the first thing to go on my JT.

Wow. That is interesting. But then, I lived through shitty diffusion with the craptastic headlights on my 1996 Dodge. I have to use the driving lights to see much of anything in the dark.

I currently have both a JL with LEDs and a Tacoma with LEDs and I feel the the JL gives me better light, but everyone is entitled to their opinions.

My statement was not opinion, it was measured fact. IIHS also rates the Tacoma LED headlight with the highest best possible rating, and the JL headlights with the absolute worst possible rating. You are entitled to your opinion, but the facts disagree.

Well for me, and maybe it is the glare, I find that I am able to pick up deer near the road earlier with my Jeep. Side benefit? The deer population is pretty large where I live and deer strikes occur often. Being aware of their presence helps a lot in preparation for them to suddenly dart into the road. Heck, I've even road over one with a fire engine one night (For some reason it didn't yield to my lights and siren ;)). When you got 3500 gallons of water on the truck, you really don't want to swerve.

One thing I think we can all agree on though is it is hard to go back to Halogen lights after you've gotten used to LEDs. :)

Careful to not draw broad technology distinctions. My upgraded 2nd Gen Halogen headlights make the 3rd Gen LED headlights seem pathetic, and the JL/JT lights seem like child's toys. The halogen upgrades are far better than what OEM LEDs have to offer, making it really hard to go back to LED after having upgraded halogens, in the case of comparing to 2nd Gen.

I wouldn't call them trash. I knew what I was buying when I got them. They are miles better than walmart or Amazon pods and for the ~$80 I spent on them, I think they are a good value in comparison to the top end LED offerings from DD and others. For a truck that I wheel with regularly, I am way more comfortable with $80 in fog lights sitting low in my bumper than a $280 set.

Factory LED headlights & fogs are absolute laser beams.

I wouldn't trade them for anything.
