    Interesting!

looks like the lakers were eating the fry and killing the natural population.

either way looks like they were stocked as juvies. 6"-12" to 30" is a lot of time to get acclimated to an environment.

would love to stand on a ladder and hook one of these bad boys someday.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I use these. Retractable lanyard and they cut everything. I do have a set layuing some where off of Ocracoke Island though but it was my bags fault and not the nippers fault.

I usually put a pair of nippers on my zipper pull on whichever waders I’m using. That being said, I have a pair of those boomerang on my sling and I have a set on my workbench for cutting braid/backing/fly lines, etc.... those things really do slice through everything.

Any of you guys tried the 2man rafts on the market? Looking at the watermaster bruin and flycraft stealth, I have zero rowing experience so I'm hoping to cut my teeth with it and hopefully fish some new water. Not a lot of big rivers around but I would think I could float the tuck or chattooga once my skills are there. We've been trying it with kayaks but I always end up blowing past the runs I want to fish, haven't tried an anchor on it cause it seems like a horrible idea in something so low in the water already.

AIRE puma ftmfw for a 2 man. If you ever plan on rowing with 2 passengers then bump it up to the super puma

    you’re welcome :)

A little less $ gets u this (made by AIRE) but honestly a slightly bigger boat like the super puma would be much more versatile and still handle fine on the smaller rivers :https://m.orvis.com/product/outcast...MItdfel8Wz7wIVEPDACh2v2wPjEAkYAiABEgK5nPD_BwE

Saw (what I assume was) that exact truck on a two week road trip in Montana last summer. Pretty sure it was around Ennis fishing on the Madison or on the Greys river in Wyoming. Made me smile every time I saw it.

ooooh the Greys River...seldom mentioned. In the right spot (next to camp) in the evening the cuttys go bonkers for dries

Yeah, one of the prettier rivers I’ve had the pleasure of exploring. Spent 5 days there. Not the biggest fish, but we were using 3wt and the colors on those cuttys are amazing. Also, possibly the worst gravel road I’ve ever been on, and we were about 40-50 miles up from Alpine.

Indeed! That dirt road literally requires you change your air filter after one trip.

Wyoming sucks. Don't go there. :p

Spending 3 months road tripping/fishing/mountain biking this summer and I'll be spending plenty of time in WY. The Greys is on the list, but I have a few other middle of nowhere rivers that I need to head back to. Gratuitous pics because it's winter and I want it to be summer.

Bummed out. Had a long weekend trip to Arkansas planned to catch the start of the caddis hatch on the White, but the Corps of Engineers had other plans. Buddy said that I jinxed it by loading the boat before the release schedule came out...

Went and hit the local tailwater for the day as a consolation trip. Turned out to be a beautiful day and got to work out the bamboo. Closed it out with some caddis dry fly eaters, too, so all the tying wasn’t for naught.
