so I just purchased some 285/75/17s geolandars muds and I’m currently running 285/70/17 KO2s. I’m at 2.5 inch lift in the front. I have SPCs and are adjusted forward +4. I’m at a -10 offset on my wheels. I have good clearance and I don’t have a CMC. Full lock turn, I see I have like half an inch clearance. You think there will be some rubbing issues on regular street driving? wheelin... Most likely huh?

Half inch clearance from tire to cab mount? Is that with the wheel straight or turned? I’m gonna assume turned. Should be good to go hopefully

that is with the wheel turned at full lock. When the wheel is straight, I have 2 inches of clearance.

You will need a cab mount chop

Yeah I figured. Was trying to avoid doing that. Luckily I bought them off Amazon. Can easily be returned if I end up not wanting to do a chop.

Don’t be scared of a chop. It’s simple and the welds don’t need to be perfect. I was dumb and paid a shop to do mine but I ended up redoing them after how uneven each side was from one another. You will also need to cut and fold the pinch weld above the cab mount chop. I spray painted the bare metal and then covered them in a layer of gasket maker.

I’m not afraid of that, I just have a frame/rust warranty I don’t want to void. And living in Hawaii, surrounded by salt water, that’s something I don’t want lose but then again I would love to run 34s haha

It's crazy how few of these wheels are around and available right now.

8.5 in the -10/-12 range just seems nonexistent at the moment. Come on guys, are that many yota owners really buying wheels right now, hah?

On black rhinos website you can see stock status and shop by offset and wheel width.

I've looked at black rhino, they've got some nice wheels, and I'm definitely for them. It looks though like they're 0 on everything in black in a 17x8.5 -10/-12. Did I miss something there?
Yeah, seriously. Hah. But these sizes have been off the shelves for so long. There's plenty of 0 offset available which I think may clear fine, but I'm not really sure though, and I don't want to end up with spacers.

I have 285/70 right now and did not regear-- i've heard going to the 285/75 isn't a huge difference. I'll be going to 285/75 Ridge Grapplers soon. When the time is right I'll regear but I haven't found the need.

If you're on Oahu, go contact (@hilodana) on IG, he does the best CMC and other custom chops/welds on the island.
