Yes! He said he would email me the estimate in the next couple days. :fingerscrossed:
I have some stuff Drew. :anonymous:
I need to get some new (better) washers installed on the LCA bushings. I know the ones there now are shot.
Thinking of putting the sway bar back on. New links are on the work table...just need to get those in first before the bar goes on. Extra hands would make it much easier. :D

I think that may be all. Not sure....thought I had a list. o_O

Nice. I was talking about when we swap the suspension stuff though. So we might need more, depending on who likes what.

    Neither.
Just the washers that go between the arm bracket and LCA bushing.
The cam bolts should be good, they should have anti seize slathered on them.

Fair enough! You will need an alignment after just to make sure everything is good

So, he said kind of what I thought. To make it look nice again is a complete rebuild and that's big money. But, he also said something I didn't really expect - that the chimney is solid and he'd advise just water sealing it again and calling it good, because as far as he can tell what I'm seeing is just cosmetic and if I keep it sealed it shouldn't get worse.

So, I'm thinking maybe I'll have another go at trying to clean up the efflorescence - that's really what's making it ugly - then water seal it again like he said.

That could be nice! Maybe throw a little new grout here or there if chunks are missing.

    Flex seal to the rescue?

The previous owner mixed up some red mortar and patched missing chunks with that. I thought it was kind of a cob job, but he seemed to think it was perfectly fine. There aren't a ton of chunks missing when I really started to look at it, but I could do that for them.

Seems to be the year of chimneys. Got two quotes so far, waiting on a third. Will be nice to replace this eye sore.

Also upgrading our windows, and rebuilding our deck. Going to be an expensive year, but well worth it in the long run.
