Easy enough! I tried looking for all sorts of stuff, and it's as easy as that. Didn't realize that would make it clear......thanks!

I see the "Toyota 2019 Enhanced Diagnostics" listed as an available package in OBD Fusion.

Since I have a 2020, do I need to wait for a 2020 package to be released, or would the 2019 version work properly?

For anybody with a 2020, this is what OBD Fusion recommended:

We have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma 3.5 L in our enhanced database. This may work with your vehicle. You can read about setting up and using the enhanced add-on on the page at the link below:

    https://obdsoftware.force.com/s/article/enhanced-diagnostics-in-obd-fusion

Please note that you should change the vehicle year to 2019 for your 2020 Tacoma in Settings > Vehicle Editor in order to get the add-on to work with your vehicle.

My OBD reader is being delivered today. I will post my results in this thread.

The only reason I questioned if it would work was because they offered the add-on for every model year, not just every generation. This implied to me that there were changes.

I tested the OBDLink MX+with OBD Fusion and the 2019 Toyota add-on (on my 2020 Tacoma), and everything seemed to work fine. I did have to change the vehicle year manually to 2019, per OBD Fusion's instructions.

I tested Toyota specific items such as the radar cruise distance, commanded acceleration, set speed, hvac info, etc. and it all seemed to work fine.

Overall I'm very impressed by the OBD reader, OBD Fusion, and the Toyota add-on, and would recommend it to anybody wanting to snoop on all the info the ECUs are collecting.

There does seem to be a way to increase the charging voltage wit VF/OV tuner. There is a thread about it.

Yes. I have flashed a few Tacos with AGM update now that we have the ability.

The resources around here are pretty stellar.

I just did mine and am trying to figure out what all these various voltages are reading. Unfortunately, my test meter crapped out and I’m waiting for a replacement. I might go back to stock to see what they all read before. It’s nice to see the alternator duty ratio. I left those settings alone and just did the numbers from the other 2017 trucks that were working. My battery guy is excited to see the changes. He is mostly a boat guy and is very knowledgeable about the finer details of batteries and charging.

I think the best way to test this is to monitor it while driving? I told my folks to monitor with an OBD reader or power port voltage read out for the first week or so and again when the weather changes.

It would be cool to here the thoughts from your battery guy.

I am, but the various sources all have different readings. I did just run it down a little and the output duty went to 100% until it came back up.

    Hahaha! They do.

I would use just one source and compare it to the numbers at the battery terminal. Basically calibrate it to the source and go from there.

If your device is off by 0.2v compared to the terminals, then just add / subtract that in your head.

My replacement meter should get delivered today. At least all the numbers seem within acceptable realm.
