Using one of these on my next setup.
    https://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/swing-out-spare-tire-carrier-spindle-kits.html

we’ll have up to three bikes on the HD 1up (two very heavy ebikes for the ladies and my bike).

it’ll be hitch mounted for easy mount/removal.

it’d have to be designed correctly to get away with the moto setup - it’d also put quite a bit of strain when swung out. Prob be better going with a double shear instead of a spindle especially when dealing with the extra strain of road hazards.

After lurking for a while, this thread has convinced me to register! I'm awaiting my Kimbo, and currently doing the whole 'meticulous planning every detail' thing!

I'm eagerly following everyone's posts. Really appreciate all the pics btw, especially from Profloundering and Voltron! Once I have my rig, I'll do the same .

Question: Does anyone on here know of other similar threads on other forums or sites regarding Kimbo build outs?

    Welcome romesco!

It sounds like there are only about 80 Kimbo’s produces so far, so info is pretty limited. Hoping this grows into a registry and repository for Kimbo’s everywhere.

    what options are you ordering?

    Welcome Romesco!

There is someone who has built out their Kimbo and I think has been mentioned on this forum: https://www.instagram.com/spacerhover/?hl=en

Thanks for helping out and congratulations on getting a Kimbo. How soon until you get it? Don't know if any other threads on the Kimbo, just some reviews and stuff. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is another option (the one i'm designing is similar - i like the additional departure angle it offers).

    https://wilcooffroad.com/shop/hitchswing/

They also seem to be reasonable with the specs too:
    • WEIGHT LIMITS: The further your load extends from the Hitchswing, the lighter your load needs to be. If your load is within 3 feet(Or 18″ from hitch to center of load) of the Hitchswing, the max. load is 250lbs. If your load extends beyond 4 feet(Or 24″ from hitch to center of load), the limit drops to 150lbs. The further away the load is from Hitchswing the heavier the load is on it AND your vehicle.

Finally had a moment to investigate the gas leak last night - found it and got it sealed up!!

This junction was located up under the lower panel so it was a bit of a pain to gain access to but I'm super happy it was something simple to fix and not a part that failed.

So that's not a bubble maker mod for the Kimbo?

Been thinking about this for a while and thought I'd throw it out there as food for thought but the tailgates for the newer GMC sierras seem like the perfect solution for the kimbo. i would love to see someone take advantage of this with a kimbo, no need to lug around any extra steps with a tailgate like this!

Just a matter of time before the other manufacturers have their own version of the Gm tail gate.

I’m sure they’ll be a Tailgate Swap thread on here by then.

Yep, I was thinking about that, I wonder if the tailgates on the 4th gen tacos will fit the rest of the series. It's such a cool feature, I doubt that even if they do fit many people will want to swap them out for the old dinosaur tailgates that we have now. :)
