I'll be a mad scientist after 3+ years for a built that is going nowhere. Unless RST is gold plating everything, I'd be piss.

 

I think it's BEST for those who lost money or got the silent treatment to band together and ask the DA to step in? That's a sh1t load of money RST have and can't deliver.

I sense RST is following FAILfreybilt business practice?

 

By the way, I ordered brackets on Monday from Ballistic, WFO, Artec, and Barnes in an effort to create a similar setup to the RST 3-link. And johnny joints and bungs from Currie. Ballistic axle link mounts, axle panhard mount, and shock tabs arrived yesterday. WFO frame-side link brackets arrived today. Artec upper link truss mount arrived today. Barnes coilover towers are scheduled to arrive Monday. Johnny joints and bungs from RockJock are scheduled to ship on 3/22. So in a little over a week and a half I'll have everything (minus frame plates that I'll have to cut myself) that I've been waiting 6 months for from RST. I should have went with my instincts in November and pulled the plug on my RST order, my rear would be done by now. He took my order in August 2020 with absolutely no intention of filling it. When I wasn't buying his lies anymore and called him out, as politely as I could, he cut all contact and either blocked my number or changed numbers (again).

 

I'm waiting on my CC company to acknowledge my charge dispute and make a decision. If they deny my dispute, I'm 100% on board for group legal action.

 

funny you say that. originally jerry from bamf was going to help me with this, and he mentioned getting the RST kit about 4 years ago. but in talking to wyatt the kit wasnt for sale. and i got talked into dropping off my truck for the work to be done there.

i think we all would have gone a different route if we knew.

im glad you are getting sorted and you didnt buy any of the larger items some others did.

 

It’s definitely not a bad idea. That dude is a straight up clown. He never did any of the work even when he was providing services. The only thing he did was copy Merlin and had a few established buddies in the business already so he got stuff for wholesale cost. I can’t believe he didn’t stay in business with the absurd charges he got people on, $900 for an FJ case and $180 for an ADD switch, that’s about a 1000% markup.

I can’t imagine how much he would charge and make off the larger orders. Just goes to show how greedy he got and how little he cared about his former customers. I bet he scooped up his stimmy bonus and is out laughing it up reading this thread.

 

But what about the balls deep inspections he did on the FJ cases with the super secret tolerances he got from toyota? That's worth at least $1000...right?

 

oh yea, can’t forget about those checks they are priceless. Wonder what kind of findings he gave folks with their product. To brag about those kind of inspection warrants a real nice detailed report.

 

He did check the torque value without breaking the bolt loose. That's something

This is crazy! I was planning on hitting him up if I moved to Oregon and get rear 3-link. I'm sick for all of you guys with money spent and no results.

I was planning on sending my truck up there in a few months... just caught wind of this thread. Terrible... I was about to send over big money

 

I am shocked he is still trying to scam new customers.

We will have some huge thread updates after the weekend. RST took the pelfrey game plan and really made some improvements.

ANYONE thinking about sending that dood money or still taking to him about new orders, please shoot me a PM before you never see that money again.

 

Please keep us updated. I got out of it ok all things considered, but I'd really like to know what's going on.
