Gunkote instead of Cerakote. I wonder.

All of the gun coatings are usually pretty thin if applied properly, that coating looks to be at least .005 thick on some places. People do use cerakote as a generic term for painting a gun such as asking for a coke when they just want a cola type soda or kleenex for any tissue.

I've got three of things so I have to put one somewhere. And I don't mind a little bling on the truck.

Took the truck for an alignment check and discovered that my rack and pinion is leaking steering fluid. Left without doing anything because I'm currently broke AF. :(

Got a call that they want to keep my truck overnight. They don't want me driving in the rain right after the frame spray.

First of all....LONG LIVE THE ACCESS CAB!

Yeah, judging by how far those tires are sticking out, I would doubt the Bushwacker flares would do you a lot of good. I look forward to seeing what direction you go. Keep me informed please.

Get a reman steering rack like this

    https://www.carparts.com/details/Toyota/Tacoma/Replacement/Steering_Rack/2006/REPT289511.html

and do it yourself. Following a video like this

    https://youtu.be/Gf48eGo0n9g

    and reading through this thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-change-the-rack-and-pinion-steering-2nd-gen-v6.293781/

I swapped my steering rack recently and it really wasn’t too bad of a job.

or at least keep steering fluid in the truck and keep it up to level

Removed my TRD OR decals and replaced with these sweet teq decals from cboy808. Quality decals received super quickly:thumbsup:

Also disassembled my steering wheel to plasticote the emblem and trim, and vinyl wrap the button surrounds with the same wrap i have throughout my interior.

I want the tires to stick out :rofl:but the wide body look of the flares I also want. I’ll probably do the necessary trimming and make it look clean as possible. Yep

Not sure it is in AZ. Also I would ask you to consider that every offroad front bumper that consists of steel tubes is actually more dangerous to the population than an aluminum crash bar is. My 2mil thick plastic bumper over top of this isn’t making any bit of difference. There are no other fancy absorption gizmos on these older 2nd gens or bolt on crumble zones
