Just bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport 6MT in Army green with tech. $36,482 before tax/title with $1,000 rebate.. They wouldn't negotiate down on the price but would negotiate up with my trade in. They offered me 25k for my 2019 Chevy Colorado. Got them up to $26,482 on it. Not sure if I did good on this purchase.

I have called everywhere within 300 miles and the cement TRD OR DCSB is selling out before it hits the lot. I feel like the dealers have buyers by the balls right now. How terrible is this?

Exact build as mine except for door edge guards

If you think that’s bad, try getting cement DCLB 4x4. Took me forever to find one

You can order from the factory regardless the lies sales"people" tell you. Just gotta have that 3-4mo of patience.

That said, the dealer is basically MIA regarding the delivery date on my new baby... :boink:

Well, I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. What are your thoughts on this price? Granted this is with $500 student discount and my trade-in.

Question for those of you who have financed through Toyota. I'll likely be buying my truck in the next month or so (so who knows if the 1.9% APR deal will still be going on), and am wondering what type of credit score Toyota Financial offers their best rates to. My score usually hovers around 790-820 any given month. I would figure that would qualify me for the best rate they offer, but I recently saw a couple people on different forums say that they had a score of 780 and didn't qualify for the current 1.9% promo.

    Anyone have insight on this?

My score is 820 and they gave me 3.9% just yesterday. That being said they said there was no APR promo for the Tacoma, only a $1,000 incentive.

Interesting. I wonder if it's a regional / dealer promotion. I don't see it on the official Toyota site any more, but some dealerships are advertising the 1.9% rate, like this dealership for example. If you click on the "See 7 available specials," one of them shows the promo, that apparently applies to all non-pro Tacomas. It says it's apparently valid until the end of this month. Strange.

FOX 2.5 DSC and some other stuff too.
Those interest rates are regional promotions just like rebates vary by region.

I made my purchase in September and the 1.9% apr was also advertised. I am hovering around 780-790 at any given time. Toyota offered me 3.9% and my CU offered me 3.85% for @ 66 months. I will be refinancing later this year when a lose two inquiries from my credit reports from the bureaus. I had better apr with my 2017 frontier 2% and 2020 Tacoma sr5 2.35% (sold in august to Carvana).

Gotcha, makes sense. I guess driving out of state to OR/NV/AZ might end up giving me the best deal after all. Then again the promos might change up next month anyways. Who knows. I've been doing a lot of research, but it seems like it might end up being kind of fruitless until I'm actually fully ready to buy lol.

If the 1.9% financing is in lieu of the $1k rebate then as long as your credit is good, it probably makes more sense to find financing elsewhere and take the thousand dollars off. Your break even point is somewhere in the mid 40k range. Plus you get that 1k in equity in the vehicle off the rip as opposed to the life of the loan. You should be able to find a credit union that will give you so around 2.5%.
