Ron at The Big Texas is getting us a dining area provided for Saturday. I told him we had about 15 people dining. I'm going by the poll results, less a couple people and plus a few family members.

I also told him that we had about 4 people doing the challenge (I'm bringing a buddy who isn't on the poll responses).

I did not set a firm time, but I told him around lunch time or perhaps a late lunch.

Can I get a few replies in here on what time everyone would like to meet at The Big Texan? Put down an actual time (I might change the poll soon) and we'll see if there is a consensus.

I'm thinking arrive about 12:00, try to be seated by 12:30, and get the challengers on the stage by 1:00 p.m.?

Get the quantity info from Ron if you can! I know the steak weight but that’s it! They gotta have some idea of shrimp/potato weight and salad quantity!

well get you one of them face time robotics.

I’m good for anytime. I’m rolling in either at 930 ish that morning or the night before. That being said I have no idea when I’m crossing time zones :| I forget where the line is. But it’ll be only a help on this end since I’m coming from the east. I’d get there an hour early if anything.

    anyway. Yeah anytime works.

I just saw Palo Duro Canyon is closed due to blizzards which was going to be our 1st stop coming in to town today. Looks like roads in Amarillo are real bad is anyone there now or have any insight? We are supposed to pull out of Gods Country & head that way around 10am

Most of the snow has melted off the roads, maybe a little slick first thing in the morning.

Still shooting for early afternoon friday here.

Had a brief worry last night, I got an absolute 12 hour pummeling from vaccine side effects. That definitely was a new and wild ride. A heavy dose of coffee and graham crackers this morning, hopefully I'll be feeling good enough to load up the trailer tonight.

I am 11.5 hours away when I start in the morning. I’ll probably try to start around 7 central time. Add in fuel stops etc I’ll probably be there around 9 or 10PM.
